With all due respect, what's wrong with commenting in other languages? There are millions of videos posted not in english, should they comment there everything in english also? I find it difficult to believe that you speak 5 languages, because that broadens your mind and you're being very naroow-minded here, if you don't understand a comment it's OK, freedom of language is a must, my mother tongue is a endagered one and I know how much these attitudes harm them. Saw the Pumpkins live for the 1st time at a local club in South Beach called Washington Square in 1990 something. Club was about 800 sq ft. Packed!! Bartenders sprayed cool water on us as we moshed (everyone in the club was moshing). I had my hands all over this cute blonde from out of town (I think) and I stold Darcys Heineken bottle from stage. Still remember the look Darcy gave me as I walked away with her drink. Sorry! LOL

I agree, Mellon Collie was THE BEST that they could do as a traditional rock album, so it was sort of obvious that they had to go in another direction, and also because electronic music was in vogue.

Drummer was in rehab during recording of the album, but the rest of the band was high. Corgan went through a coke phase which was obvious with his nasally voice and "despite all my rage" egotistical statements. This album along with Machina represented downers and possibly psychedelics for a more detached, open-ended search for meaning in life. Zwan represented a religious vice "dedication of a gospel song to Jesus." Corgan must have recorded his solo album the Future Embrace on XTC or sumthin

When Corgan was writing the album he said that guitars were over-used and outdated, and the music press gave him a lot of stick for that comment, so when the album came out the reviews weren't great, and compared to 'Mellon Collie...' it was a flop sales-wise.

I think 'Adore' is SP's best album. I took it off my MP3 player cos I can't hear the quiet bits on the train! This album deserves ur full attention, w/o train noise!

You should try the headphones that are ear plug typish, they keep noises out and also you don't have to put so much volume. They're more safe and yet you hear the little details that make that song so good. I've used them quite a while.

I never really thought of them that way. That seems valid, though. Regardless, they still pale in comparison to the fountains of brilliance that make up every other song on that album. Perhaps you might say that isn't fair to compare the rest of the album to those two songs? However, I'm just talking on a pure sonic level here, not necessarily an artistic one (or an art-appreciation level).
