I went to my local gamestop to get Disgaea 3 since it was on sale new at $20 but they didn't have it in stock anymore.. Should I try to play the 1st and 2nd on PS2/PSP or can I try the 3rd right away?
you should try, makai kingdom (made by the same people) and eternal eyes (not made by the same people, but was next gen even though it was on ps1, and i mean ps2 next gen o.o it is the same as makai kingdom and disgaea just its a little easier but hard at the same time)
what does the scouter say about his Power level???? ...well that's probably an understatement at this point. I eventually got this on DS and its a blast.

@stonercrazyclips222 i think the 1st is the best aswell but i dont like the changes in 2 and up, and in the 4th im not sure about 3rd but that gun move "speeding bullet" its so anoying (nothing to do with changes lol) but it just gets on my nerves and is it me or is valzy weaker than the other main characters lol same luck for you!
In all honesty, I didn't like the Ps2 version, it felt....Out of place. That's why I got the DS version. It felt right at home with 2 screens and the Portability factor.
gotta agree its a pretty good series. and they actually have some decent va's to use for the humor for the game. but i do have to agree they could use to improve their graphics since they put the last one on the ps3. the skits were ok but could of been animated much better.

I don't know if any numbers were ever released but companies like NIS, Idea Factory, Gust, and so on are working on a shoe-string budget because there's no one their niche titles are ever going to be a breakout hit like Final Fantasy.
10/10? Seriously? I know that you're a fan of tactical RPGs, but according to your channel, 10/10 is basically a must-have for every player, because of its "near perfect experience" and all that stuff.
People who don't enjoy tactical RPGs or are just not hardcore enough, won't really enjoy this game. 9/10 would be fitting, but 10/10 is overrated. Just because you haven't found a better TRPG doesn't mean that it's perfect.
That's your opinion. What if someone hates 2D platformers? Does that mean that none of them can get a 10/10? No. Everyone will always dislike something.
you got to remeber he is the one doing the reviews. everyone has there own personal oppinions on games. that is why you watch many reviewer. sure, i agree, it is not a 10/10 for me, or any other people not into the TRPG series, but i think this review was geard more twords the fans out there of the series.
According to your logic, no game would ever be a 10/10 because there are no games that appeal to everyone. Also, games that are particularly well known for having a broad appeal usually don't end up appealing to me that much.
The scores I give games are a reflection of the value of entertainment I had with the title when matched up against entertainment itself.
scores are just opinions, the meat and potatoes of a review is the rest of the review, the parts where hes telling you facts about the game so you can make your own mind up. Generally ill only take a reviewers likes and dislikes to heart if ive read alot of hes reviews, trust him and have the same likes/ dislikes
with chris hes likes and dislikes differ slightly to me, he hated shining in the darkness while i like it, but hes zelda review seemed as if it was written for me. All are well written
i am buying this as soon as i get paid.....that's in December.....damn it
