  • Chuwa Can Dien He How Ma

  • Hey! I'm finding Mandarin really tough but your videos really help .. thank you!! Ask a girl out? She better ask me out! lmao

  • hey girlie ! make your bed !

  • hey dianna , the website you talked about pyngo is no more working :( recommend some other website plssssssss :( xie xie

  • 謝謝 老师! 我学习 中文, 所以我觉得你的視頻很方便。 我想知道你是中国人吗?

  • hey...I watched your several videos , but they are very uselesss...

If you want to teach a language , you should not talk about other things...

  • @barunnar Is very easy to criticize...

  • ”我们出去走走、好吗?“和“我们出去散步、好吗?”一样吗?

  • Yes it's OK, what time should I pick you up?, but I pick the movie. I think you're cute...hehe

  • thanks alot for this! God bless you=)

  • ni de zhongwen mingzi shi shenme?

  • you teach very well. this is easier to understand than most videos. (:

  • thankyou for this, i know a little chinese and visit shanghai hangzhou yangshuo and shaanxi all over 90 days starting in MAy..phew!

  • your most pretty girl i ever see 世界上至靚係你啦.!!!

  • Wo3Men4 qu4chi4 zo4 zo4 hao3 ma(Neutral)? Also you could say. Wo3Men4 jin4 tian1 wan1 sheng2 qu4 tiao4 wu3 hao3 ma(n)? We tonight go dancing, how does that sound? Im taking it in college and its pretty difficult to learn

  • pretty good, sounds like a date ;-p

  • Sorry....I don't wanna sound "racist" but where is the point in asking someone out whose language you don't speak? You may memorize the ONE sentence "do you want to go to the restaurant with me?" - - but then? What do you want to talk about afterwards?

A date without talking is pointless.

Of course, you may just go to a motel and fuck your brains out. Why not? That's international! But then don't pretend you are the Berlitz master student.

    P.S. nice bed you have.

  • @zensorship, I'm the first one to support the statement that true communication (beyond linguistic understanding) is the key to any real relationship but have you considered the possibility of these little phrases merely being used by someone asking out a mandarin & english speaker out? TRYING to speak a little of the language of someone you like can be a small sign of respect or just a fun gesture...

  • @carpediemdh

    Yes I see your point.

little phrases like "Good morning" or "thank you" or "you're too kind" are most definitely a sign of respect when you visit any foreign country.

But "Excuse me lady, would you mind following me around the corner to that restaurant" sounds a little bit strange to me!

If I were that Chinese lady, I would get scared.

  • @zensorship Let's say you know a chinese girl/guy and you've known them for a long time and you are friends. They speak English you speak English. You decide you really like each other and you want to ask them out on a "date" but you don't quite know how to, and you don't wanna just do it the boring way "Did you want to see a movie some time?" Instead why not learn it in their language, to show you care enough about them to put fourth the effort to learn how to ask them out.

  • @TheAdimz

    Yes that makes sense. Absolutely!

But IMHO only as a beginning, the more you know, the better both sides will feel. That's my opinion.

  • amen to that bro! haha

  • it would be great to get the pinyin translation of the sentances like in some other of your videos !!

    thx for the help

  • okay, like really? Asking someone "U wanna go for a walk?" is NOT asking them out.

  • Forever

Are you from china? I doubt it so dont make assumptions on something that you dont know. Sometimes the chinese greet you saying. Ni3 chi1 fan4 le(n) ma(n)? Which means, Have you eaten yet? Which is the equivalent to saying "hello". So dont go saying things your ignorant about.

  • uh yes, I am from China actually. So you don't make any assumptions.

I was born and raised in China and saying 你吃饭了吗?is not saying "hello". No matter where you're from. So i''m not ignorant, just stating a fact.

  • I dont want to argue here but my chinese teacher has a phd in chinese language. She knows like 10 different dialects so i trust her when she says something. Shes from taiwan as well.

  • Okay, I'm just saying. If you say " You wanna go for a walk" to me in China, I'd be scared. I'd be like, "get the hell away from me, creepo."

  • du lei no mo!!!

  • ni he wo chi zhi fan hao bu hao mo? hehehe just joking

  • wu bu cha dow ni su sima hehehe sound it out idk how to spell it

  • woman chu chu to to how ma

    yo tambien!

    jiji!

  • 你好,我很喜欢学习汉语和你!谢谢

  • gosh, it is too complicated!

  • you'd think that since i can speak cantonese that speaking manderain would be easier but i still have extreme difficulty remembering these words, sometimes i just cant see the connection between the two dialects

  • lol im cantonese too,

and mandarin is like a voice twister alot (idk how to explain good) but yeah,

i find it hard too XD

I have all your 14 videos on my play list for me to relearn my lessons. Sorry for being a slow learner. Thank you for having a longer lesson this time. I find it loud and clear. Xiexie laoshi. • Hi, I'm learning Mandarin Chinese

..i have a problem pronouncing people,

like American person..the "ry" sound i think it is..can you help me please?

  • It should be almost the same "r" sound in English like "read" but I noticed that when i pronounced the "r" in "read" i curl the tip of my tougue slightly towards myself and when i pronounced the "r" in "ren" (person) i curl the tip of my tougue slightly away from myself. Don't know if it'll help you... ;-)

  • Oh yeah! That makes it so much easier!

I pronounced it perfectly this time, Thank you!

    ^.^

  • The tones thing with your hands is really good.

  • The way you do the tones is really good.

  • :DDD

  • :DDD

  • Awesome, thanks for posting ;)
