Well, I have a full brain and I can read stats. Rivera may have a leg up on Post-season saves, but Hoffman still has the most regular season saves. Hoffman is better. Hell's Bells is a way better song too.

While I agree that Hell's Bells is a better song, (Enter Sandman is one of Metallica's weaker offerings from their 15 year long sellout period) I would pick Rivera over any closer in history to pitch for me if my life was on the line... Hoffman had what, one shot at a meaningful save and blew it. Everyone knows that over the long run Rivera's been the best ever. We may never see a reliever with that kind of sustained excellence again.

Actually, Hoffman pitched in one that I know of. It was in 1998...against the Yankees. He gave up a homerun to our now-manager Joe Girardi and the Padres got swept by the Bombers.
