i grow my beard because it it the sunnah of the the prophet muhammad pbuh. i understand where brothers come from about it not being in quran. But what I say to that is Allah says in the quran that obeying the prophet is obeying him. Allah only says in the quran to prostrate. He does say how to jalsa, rooku, keyam, sugdha etc. so how do you know how to pray and the postions. So make your arguement but dont say if its not in the quran then its not an obligation becuz it is if u understand.
The Prophet does not make the rules...PBUH ....Allah makes the rules and in the Holy book the Last Revelation from ALLAH Growing of the Beard is not a Pillar or Command....
@excaliba360 Surah Al Anfal (8) Verse 20: "O you who have believed, Obey Allah and his Rasool (Sal) and do not turn away from him while you hear (his order)"
There are many verses in Quran saying to obey The Messenger (Sal).... 8:24, 4:59, 33:21, 59:7.
Belief in Quran and Rasool is a must for a muslim. If you only follow the Quran without the Sunnah then you are really lost. For eg, Allah has commanded us to offer prayers but the Sunnah of the prophet shows us how to perform the prayer.
@TheMrAbdulhaleel Obey the messenger because he is given/presenting the Quran- the messenger himself says anything he says that is not in the quran not to follow- The Quran 45:6 The Quran 10:15 the Hadith is like a king James Bible Peace to the prophet and blessing from the Architect of all
@excaliba360 If yo have no faith in Ahadheeth (Authentic Hadhees) then its not worth talking. May Allah guide you in right path. "lakum deenukum waliyadeen" 'for you is your religion and for me is mine religion'
This sort of small minded dogma is really what mires the Umma in empty pursuits and confusion. I am of Nubian descent and can't grow a beard or a mustache. My father can barely grow one and most of the men in my family are completely hairless except for the head. Am I somehow cursed because of my lack of body hair?
This exportation of Arab culture sickens me. I am an African not an Arab. In my culture men have smooth beautiful skin and body hair is considered nasty and unsightly.
@Swaggster1000 ,,,i dont have problem with Mississippi , sheik Yusuf said they never invited him over ther again because what he said to them about beard,, i drove thru MS and is nice , the only thing i dont like about MS is hard to spell the name it has too many iiii and ssss and pp :)

Prophet mohammed had sex with a 9yr old girl bcus it was their culture at the time!Same thing is true of beards! So,why do this primitive idiots keep promoting primitive nonsense!
do a bit more rsearch son, prophet muhammed peace be upon him,, married, but never had intercourse with a 9 year old, why did he marry? to bring tribes together, beyound your understanding.
the beard issue is sunnah. its also sunnah to have a presentable smart clean beard as us muslims are clean, not like these cowboy so-called scholors in the video,
It is said to be different from the non-believers. The Beard is a obligatory sunnah the Prophet Muhamed (pbuh) said, 'Oppose the Mushrikeen (polytheists); lengthen the beards and trim the moustaches.' (Sahih Bukhari).
So, don't insult this muslim brother who has converted into Islam. For your info, by doing so ur backbitting which is eating his flesh.
I'm my own scholar. If it's not in the Qur'an then it's not obligatory to me. Muhammad(pbuh) gave us the Qur'an and that is the miracle of his prophecy. Muhammad(pbuh) was not a perfect/devine man and nor do I worship him. I don't care what another Muslim says so much anymore because I will just look in the Qur'an for myself. I am a peace-loving Muslim and that's it. I don't belong to any sect or follow any 'clergy'. No wandering for me. Not advice, just my opinion.
if you read the Quran, what do you 'say' about the verses that state: Obey Allah and his Messenger?? and If you want me (Allah) to love you, then follow Muhammad (SAW)?
Hmm, Islam stands on the two: Quran and Sunnah. we follow the Prophet's way, not our own opinions and or desires. :)
Much respect to you brother. Islam also says to be up to date with the times. What would Muhammad(pbuh) say to us in modern times then?...We cannot forget that his times were times of war and that he was also a military leader. I am following the prophet by following the Qur'an since believing in the Qur'an is trusting the man who revealed it. God's word doesn't change, but a mere human's will. Has to, times change. Growing a beard is not within the 5 pillars if I'm not mistaken.
"Say: "If ye do love Allah, Follow me: Allah will love you and forgive you your sins: For Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful." (Quran 3:31... Quran is the light and full of wisdom but have you my brother forgotten! How much He(Mohammad PBUH)suffered for our cause?Once Khatijah(R) requested Mohammad(S)to do dua for her and he did. Khatijah(R)was extremely pleased and praised the Prophet. Do you what he said "I pray for the safety and wellbeing to Allah SWT for my Ummah 5 times a day like this."
(There is no God but Allah, and MUHAMMAD(pbuh) is his messenger)
So since u are ur own scholar, what makes u think ur perfect. What makes u far better then the messenger of Allah. You are soppose to love the Prophet more than ur family because who will intercede for you on a day no one will (Day of Judgement). So do you actually think the Prophet would intercede for someone who didn't follow his ways??
@LetMeGit5dollaZ I side here with dawahinc, the Quran does say that the believers obey Allah Ta'aala and the Prophet (pbuh). No one "worships" the Prophet; we are following his blessed Tareeqa, and this facet (the beard), is in fact a difference between us and the kuffar (disbelievers). The Prophet (pbuh) had actually prophesied in a Hadith that a group would emerge after his death, who would say, "Stick to the Qur'an only. Carry out only the commands therein." Then he warns against this notion.
@LetMeGit5dollaZ Chew on this advice for some time, and try to rethink your pursuit. It is an insult to call yourself a "scholar", if you have not actually done anything scholarly, and in fact, you advocate disregard of the footsteps of Prophet (pbuh).
He (pbuh) had explicitly stated in his Farewell speech, "I leave to you two things: the Qur'an, and MY SUNNAH. As long as you cling to THESE, you WILL NOT go astray." A little food for thought, eh?
@LetMeGit5dollaZ if you dont care what another muslim says than who taught you how to pray? The Quran says to obey Allah and his Messenger and it is made clear in the tradition of the prophet that growing the beard is obligatory. When you say you are your own scholar you sound foolish. Even worse when you say this foolsihness about your opinion it makes you seem ignorant..There is no opinion when it comes to Islam..hence the word Islam meaning Submission.
@BrothersConsequence If it is not in the Quran it did not come from the Angel and it did not come from Allah...please be not a transgressor like those who teach this....it may be custom in Islam to grow but to say you are obligated is a lie
pubic and armpit hair is unwanted hair..you should get rid of it..the best way is plucking the hairs..but if you can not stand plucking them you may use razor..and the prophet (pbuh) gave a time limit...you must cut your nails/pluck pubes/pluck armpit hair every 40 days.its ok to do it more but YOU MUST DO IT ATLEAST ONCE EVERY 40 DAYS..
it is required to have a beard if you can grow one so you can not shave it or throw it away.i dont know if enema is allowed..

Lets be honest, the Quran was written for people and by people who grew beards(Arabs, and some E. Africans). It didn't take into account of all the millions or billions of people today who CAN'T grow a beard(A lot of E.Asians, Some Africans, North American Indians, etc).
Don't interpret the Quran to your liking, now that we know every man can't grow a beard. Leave it as it is, a book written by men and isn't fully factual.
he used the same joke in many places..unfortunatley the audience didnt get the joke lollzz..to me tht was the funny part hahaha..nways i think its first bettr for us to make some guy who is struggling feel comfortable with islam by talking abt othr important and major issues..then when his aqeedah gets crustal clear the beard woud just follow aftrwards.u kno like jumpin on sum muslim guy for not havin a beard an all.jazakallahu khairan sister.May u be rewarded frm the infinte kingdom of Allah.
