Was never that keen on the sequels because they had Jason running around with no explanation. He died in the lake as a child and would have decomposed. Suddenly in part 2 he's a full grown living breathing adult. Never understood that and it's never clearly explained, but I always enjoyed the original Friday the 13th. When the killer is exposed it's a motherly figure it's not what you'd expect.
JESUS LOVES U ALL TURN TO JESUS TODAY FOR WHOSEVER WAS NOT FOUND WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF LIFE WAS CAST INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE REVELATION 20-15,FOR ALL HAVE SINNED AND COME SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD ROMANS 3-23 FOR WHOSEVER SHALL CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD SHALLBE SAVED ROMANS 10-13 TURN TO JESUS HELL WILLBE NO PARTY . JESUS LOVES U BUT satan hates u all.
This music is gorgeous lol, but because of what happens in the film when this is playing I know when the part is coming in relation to this piece of music which makes me feel uneasy! Lol.
I imagine this film would've been more effective without all the sequels. The franchise is practically based on the ending of this movie. If you ignore the sequels, the ending of this film is twisted, almost sardonic. It was really about a mom murdering kids in the name of her son but this is such a beautiful piece of music.
This song actually reminds me a bit of the music from Twin Peaks. Very haunting. It's been in head for years and glad to hear it again. Thanks for posting.
@Slayknot IDK, I watched the end credits, but there is no mention at all. I also tried looking it up on the web but all I could find was the actual musical sheet for the music.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU ive been searching for this song for YEARS,,,omg, i finally hear how it ends! lol thank you so much, i LOVE this song. my favorite part of the whole fuckin series is this song!
classic song. lol, when you hear this song, you think that the movie is over, and everyone is safe. then "Jason" comes out of the water and pulls Alice underneath, then the music changes, lol.
of course it turned out to be a dream, but it's still a classic "final scare" in horror movie history.
yeah it's an insult that 'remake' movie with some guy sitting there masterbating and bunch of people fucking in a tent... seriously not friday the 13th atall..
@amundlintoft In my opinion, one of the horror genre's "crowning era!" The other "crowning eras," in my opinion, are the '60s (Psycho, Homicidal, and Peeping Tom), and the '70s.
I've always loved this song.

@solelover70 Sail Away, Tiny Sparrow. It's just an instrumental version of the country song you hear in the diner scenes.
