What Horatio & Calleigh had seasons 1 thru 3 seemed more like a really good boss-employee relationship, where Eric & Calleigh have had a friendship that has grown over the years to being close friends, to falling in love. Horatio and Calleigh couldn't even be seen as friends in any form thru the 1st 3 seasons. And as Adorelo said, E/C has nothing to do with the lack of H/C interaction.

Hey, to each their own. I'm just giving a perspective that's not very popular right now, but believe it or not used to be. I've watched since day one, and H was more than just a concerned boss. He was always a friend to Cal when she needed him, and vice versa. Then it's suddenly dropped and E/C is played up. I believe the lack of H/C scenes is likely b/c E/C have so many scenes together. Like I said, I like the E/C friendship, but to turn it into something more just doesn't ring true to me.

See, I disagree. Emily and Adam have been into the EC romance since the start. It's clear in their performing that they've made their relationship (romantic or platonic) an important thing and, regardless of shipping preferences, nothing about them in forced.

And the lack of H/C interaction actually has nothing to do with the EC relationship. Miami has always been case-based, it's not about to change that for a romantic relationship.

I mean, check out Seasons 1 and 2, it's really hard to find some hardcore information about the characters but now it's better, I think.

Ummm...yea, you know I really never saw Eric and Cal as having "chemistry" like that. This all seems very forced. They've always had a very friendly, brother/sister thing. I'm not really feeling the whole "romance" thing and it's kind of ruining all the other friendships on the show. (H never interacts w/Cal anymore b/c TPTB are too busy pushing the E/C ship - ugh).

If you want to see some real "chemistry," check out Seasons 1-3 between Cal and H and Season 4 between Eric and Nat. 'Nough said.

Anywho, just because the writers are pushing EC doesnt mean they are the cause for the H/C dissapearance. Maybe they are pushing for a different more subtle change in H's character...like more withdrawn...he doesnt communicate with almost anyone anymore.
