  • and its also good for dry lips and for cuticules :)

  • Hi beautiful, thanks a lot for this informative video, i spend a lot of money on chemical hair products and we can do a lot with naturals, Sorry for my bad english thanks Souade from Paris

    Bisous ma chérie

  • is this coconut oil good for those who have acne problems?

  • I have very sensitive skin and am also prone to break-outs, so I use acne medication. If I use it as a moisturizer, do I use it before or after I apply my acne medication? Thank you so much! I love your videos :)

  • a natural path dr says it should be virgin as if its hydronated it can have very unhealthy effects.

  • Correction to your video: Coconut oil contains NO protein.

  • I'm buying coconut oil!

  • Hi ... I have one question... I have used Coconut oil on my hair before shampooing and I did not see any amazing results, is it better to use it after? Coconut oil as a make-up remover is FANTASTIC!!!!!!! thanks for an advice

  • Hi, I use olive oil instead of coconut oil...I I put it at night before I go to sleep and wash it in the morning with my shampoo and then my conditioner.. Don't you get dandruff by putting some on your scalp? cos lately I noticed when I put some olive oil all over my scalp, when I washed my hair..I got dandruff..& I just wonder if maybe that was one of the reason why..or...

    I was just really stress?

    well, hehe..I'm still..

  • Have you ever tried Caster Oil on the hair? I heard it can promote hair growth and it's great for the hair too?

  • I'll try coconut oil on my hair next time, I tried it on my face but didn't like it much. I prefer using extra virgin olive oil as a make up remover, I feel like it's lighter and makes the process easier, and as a moisturizer jojoba oil works great!!

  • YOU ARE MY FAVORITE BEAUTY GURU AND THE BEST HANDS DOWN. REMEMBER THAT. :)

  • @littlemissaloveable That's so sweet, love :) Thank you a million for the wonderful words <3

  • I am in love.

  • *to add to that, the reason ppl get acne alot of the time is because we use so many harsh face washs that strip our natural oils so the body thinks it needs to produce more thus we get oily skin and breakout. Using oil as a moisturizer , such as jojoba, tricks your skin into thinking its produced enough thus overtime you cure your acne. Ppl w oily skin should not fear oil it actually helps. As well as helping dry skin too its soo good for all skin types:) hope tis helps -licensed esthitician

  • love coconut oil for hair and my body but you must try jojoba oil for your face! Its much lighter and and the closest thing to our natural skin sebum plus many many benefits such as antibacterial , prevents wrinkles etc etc. Plus its all i use and i use it under makeup with no problems. Good for oily and dry skin , you should really google the benefits =)

  • @Monkeyfrayer oh yes jojoba oil is the best!!!!!

  • So do you use this as a moisturizer under makeup - doesn't cause your makeup to smudge? Have you ever used extra virgin olive oil in hair and on face/body? I do and it works wonderful & good for you... what's your experience with this?

  • @myheartwaves No no, I wouldn't use the coconut oil as a moisturizer under a foundation, it's definitely too oily for that. I use it at night before I go to sleep. And no, haven't used olive oil yet but will definitely give it a try :)

  • @PirouetteMakeup Thanks! There's so many beauty benefits of using extra virgin olive oil on our skin and hair, and also unpasteurized raw honey, which I trust more than man-made skin products. Thank you for you great tips!!!

  • I'm straight and you are so hot you made even STRAIGHTER. WOW didn't know it was possible.

  • I use coconut oil for everything you talked about. It really does keep my hair looking shiny and healthy. Thanks for a great video.

  • trader joes sells it for 6 bucks! :)..its AMAAAZZZZING!

    bought 3 jars this week

  • Great video and to the point . I am thinking of putting it in my hair , but I believe that it is difficult to remove and takes a few washes . Is this true ?

  • @danvelgtr I massage just into my ends before I wash it and condition it and it's fine. The trick is to not use too much. The first time I tried it I used too much and I had to wash it 2 times. But if you just use a little on your ends, you will be fine after just one shampoo.

  • Thnx for the great video! Just bought coconut oil today for my hair, after watching ur video gona use ur tips for other purposes! Thnx! :-)

  • im not sure if you mentioned it, but what brand of coconut oil is that?

  • I've heard (I haven't tried this so I don't know for sure) that it helps get rid of acne as well.

  • Im a hairdresser who has used everything from every brand to try and smooth my blonde dry long hair And 6 months ago i tried coconut oil AMAZING!!! I use this as a treatment before washing and also smooth a small amount in my palma and smooth through dry ends after blow drying Nothing has worked better this is natural cheap and ive turned all my clients onto it!!!

  • hi nika, i jst wanned 2 ask if coconut oil is ok to use if u generally hab oily skin? i hab a very sensiitive, acne prone n oily skin n i was wondring if coconut oil is 4 me as u did mention that it makes ur face really oily n my skin already being oily i dnt know if it a good idea. wat do u reckon?

  • @iluvmusique11 I have combination skin and I try to stay away from the oilier parts of my skin. I don't find that it clogs my pores, but it could make your already oily skin very oily, which you may not want. I'd recommend maybe applying it to only the dryer areas of your skin :)

  • @PirouetteMakeup ohh.. i shall gib it a try, thank u soo much for the reply! really appreciate it :D

  • Coconut oil makes my hair super curly. Like really really very curly and thick and it frizzes really terribly :/

  • you are gorgeous! and i'm a gay guy and that says a lot! haha!

  • @stanbalo Haha, thanks so much ))))

  • So beneficial but....i really can't stand the smell...

  • @azzurra1337 It's weird that some have a smell to them and some don't. The one I have doesn't have a smell at all. Try to ask in the store if it smells or not, just to be sure before you buy :)

  • Great video! :) I have been using coconut oil as a moisturizer as well and I love it! I have tried it on my face once, but was worried that I would break out so didn't try it again, but after watching your video I will definitely start using it as a facial moisturizer. One other way I use it is that I put a spoonful into my morning smoothie along with a spoonful of cinnamon (also has great health benefits :)

  • just got some coconut oil! this was very helpful :)

  • Hey Nika! I just bought coconut oil today so I can do the hair mask thing :D! I just have a couple of questions. When yours melts, is it yellow or just transparent? Because mine is yellow and I don't know if that's good or bad. Also, I bought it about 8 hours ago, I put in in the freezer so I could use it tomorrow but it is not going "solid" at all. I don't know what that means... I hope I'm making sense. :/

  • @paufg The yellow thing is fine, mine goes yellow as well. But it's weird that it's not going solid - Coconut Oil is very sensitive to temperatures and should start solidifying as soon as a little cold hits. Check to see if it's 100% pure coconut oil of if it has any additives in it.. Let me know!

  • @PirouetteMakeup I just checked the tag and it says it has esencial coconut oil, colourant, yellow #5, fragance, and conservants... I guess that's not 100% pure. Should I still use it? Thank you so much for answering me! :)

  • @paufg I knew it's was only a matter of time until cosmetic companies started adding ingredients to market it as a 'beauty' product! If at all possible, I'd suggest returning it and getting the 100% pure oil.. If you can't return it, you can still use it as a liquid oil but make sure to get the pure form next time :)

  • @PirouetteMakeup Oh ok! I'm gonna see how it goes then... Thank you very much!!! :)

  • I love using coconut oil too, been using it on my hair for a long time. I use it to tan as well, I know tanning is not good, but when it's a nice summer day I love being outside. =) And living in Calgary, you only get 2 months of summer!!

  • @HoneyandBella Haha, I hear you )) My brother lives in Calgary, so I know your summer situation pretty well :)))

  • I also love using coconut oil and I love that it is catching on and more people are discovering the great benefits. I was wondering if you've tried jojoba oil? It can also be used as a make up remover and I prefer it to coconut oil as a facial moisturizer as it feels a lot lighter on your skin and absorbs better. Try it out if you haven't already, I think you'll like it. Love your videos <3

  • @LeendaLove Thank you so much :( No, haven't tried it but definitely will, now that you recommended it! Thanks!

  • Hi, I was wondering if you could kindly tell me the exact name of the jar of coconut oil that you use. Also, would this help in reducing hair fall? You mentioned it helps prevent split ends (and I get a lot of those!) but lately my hair's been falling a lot (my mom says it's seasonal) but do you know anything specific that helps reduce hair fall? I am using Nizoral shampoo, because it eliminates dandruff, but at the same time it increases hair shedding :( so any help would be appreciated. Thanks

  • @meonly4me The brand I have is called Soleil D'Or and I got it at a health food store.. I know it definitely helps with hair growth but don't know if it prevents hair fall - it only makes sense that it would though )) I'll google it, just to be sure :)

  • Thank you so much! It's great to find people here on Youtube who love natural products too ^-^ I started using coconut oil on my hair this year and I love it <3

I don't know how I survived without it for so many years lol

I had no idea that it was good as a makeup remover! I can't wait to try it =)

You have a great personality! and you have a new subscriber now lol

  • @viloy100 You're so sweet, thanks very much :))

  • ahh I am so happy I stumbled upon this.. My friend and I each bough a jar couple of months ago as a hair mask. The guy at the health store told us that it speeds up metabolism (as you rightly pointed out) AND there has been research that it helps overcome dementia. Love it - it really works and considering I am mediterranean and have lots and lots and lots of thick hair, this has been a great find!

  • like if LUXY HAIR brought you here! :)

  • Its very good for LIP BALM too!!! I just watched on Dr. Oz that its bad to use chap stick or anything on your lips other then shea butter or coconut oil because doing so will prevent your lips from its natural shedding and make them crack and break more frequently. Try using it at night if you don't want to stop using lip gloss ...ect...

  • @PlanetGreece003 Oh wow, thanks for the great tip! Will make sure to use it as a lip balm as well :)

  • Where did you get your jar from??

I love using it for hair! But it has a strong smell that's kind of unpleasant for me at least.

  • please check out, if the coconut oil is a fairtrade one. otherwise you cannot be sure if children had to work for your product..

  • Does it block your pores?

  • you have the same voice as mimi!

  • can you do a hair care routine and about your hair, is your hair colored or is it your natural color? pleeeaseeeeee

  • going to buy it tomorrow. we say "du hast mich angefixt" in germany ;) thanks for that advice! :*

  • I love that you did this video. I'm Indian and we (as in my people) have been using Coconut Oil in our hair for hundreds of years. Thats the secret to that luscious Indian hair :)

  • Nika, what would be better to remove makeup- coconut oil or olive oil? I've used EVOO as makeup remover and it also moisturizes my skin really really well.

  • you sound like one bif fan af this oil! lolin korea it costs $50!!!

    =(

  • i love coconut oil, i used it with everything.. i use it as hair mask, body lotion and when my lips is dry that too! also when i melt chocolate i add a few spoonfuls of coconut oil along with nuts and seeds and it kind of makes it a tad bit healthier :))

  • You remind me of Mimi and Leila (LuxyHair)

You're soooo pretty! And I love your videos!

  • @Yaske01 Aww thank you so much:) It maybe because we have the same ethnicity and have known each other for a long time :))

  • @PirouetteMakeup And they begin also like 'helly my beautiful friends it's mimi/leila here'.

You also started your video like that! ;D

    However, I love it!

  • LOVE Coconut oil :) I"m glad we got the same one you have, I've been using it and I love it:) xx

  • you're so pretty! very helpful video, spasibo :)

  • you're so pretty! very helpful video, spasibo :)

  • Thank you for sharing! I already use coconut oil in my cooking, but never thought to use it as a beauty product. Tried it out as makeupremover for the last couple days and it works perfektly. I can already tell a difference at the skin around my eyes :)

  • this video was so interesting and helpful. i'm off to the store. thank you for sharing some terrific information. it is appreciated.

  • This is a great video! I have a huge jar of it that I wasn't quite sure what to do with and NOW I know :) Thanks!

  • Hi Nika! i have an oily scalp, would using a coconut oil hair mask be beneficial for me?

  • thank you for doing this video i was wondering about coconut oil for the longest, i greatly appreciate this video

  • Oh and also:

Try and heat up just a small amount of oil in a glass cup (Do not use plastic!) And make sure its not boiling, but hot enough where youre seeing a bit of steam. And place it carefully on your ends. Its called a Hot Oil Treatment so it works better than just using the oil as a normal conditioner. :)

  • Tips:

It has to be natural oil, if its not then your skin and hair is going to get a lot of unwanted, harmful products. Also leaving it in for overnight can also help dry damaged hair. I havent been lucky to find coconut oil but Im currently obsessed with:

    1. Almond Oil

    2. Argon Oil

    3. Olive Oil

    4. Castor Oil (Although Im a little skeptical about this one since Ive been hearing a lot of health-related problems)

  • Great video! I love using and eating coconut oil, but I have never tried it as a hair mask. Thank you for suggesting that. Do you use extra virgin coconut oil? Thank you for sharing. :)

  • Hi lovely :) I got it at Panacea, it's a vegan grocery store on Bloor and Bathurst :)

  • hey Nika! where did you get that in toronto i live here too and i suffer from alopecia - i want the organic one you have !

  • Originally I bought Coconut oil for my hair a few years ago and then I experimented and occasionally used it as a body moisturiser or face mask. My skin is very dry but it was even too oily for me, however I discovered by chance that if I use pure Aloe vera gel over it, (again cheap from a health food store) the gel takes away the oily feeling so I now use the two every day. Try it!

  • Nika, I love your eye make-up here, have you done a tutorial on it yet ?

  • @NoraDlist Thank you lovely. I haven't but will add it to my list of tutorials to do :))

  • Great video, Nika! I use it as a body lotion, but hearing you speak so highly of it in other areas, I'm gonna try removing my make-up with it tonight & moisturize my face ;) - xx Leyla

  • @EverythingLuxy Thanks Leylush! Mimi's the one who told me about it being a great hair mask, have you tried it? I'm seeing awesome results with my hair so give it a try as well :))

  • Amazing video as always Nika! I always learn so much!

p.s. started using your brushes and I LOVE them :):)

  • I love coconut oil!

  • i live in toronto and i was just wondering where you bought your coconut oil?

  • @flygirl0 I got it at Panacea, it's a vegan grocery store at Bloor & Bathurst :)

  • i love using coconut oil for my hair and skin!!!

  • I have very oily skin and I tend to break out easily.. Do you think it is safe for me to use as a moisturizer or do you think it will clog my pores? What type of skin do you have? Thank you!

  • @lizzcruzz Oh I have oily, acne prone skin too.. I find that this being a natural oil, it doesn't make my skin break out but it could depend on the person. Maybe try to use it every 2 days Instead of every day and see how it goes from there? :)

  • Loved this video on the benefits of using something very natural like coconut oil! I would love to see more of these natural beauty videos =)
