You should go Juggernaut. Sword and shield gives way better defence, active blocking, and nearly as good dps as polearm does. The only good thing about polearm is the reach.

None of the soldier classes do a lot of damage at all. If you want to do good DPS & still use the combo system, use a Rogue class or a Herald of Xotli.

My 80 Guardian consistently goes 20+/0 in minigames. Guardian, when specced/geared right, is by far the highest DPS class in the game.

There's no way in hell that a Guardian is the highest DPS class, not since the overreach bug was fixed. Minigame scores are also not an indicator of how well a class can fare in PvP. The fact that you can go 20-0 shows that you have some survivability, but killing blows can be obtained by any class by just timing your abilities properly.

Guardian = heaviest armor, highest hp, melee = best tank

Dark templar= heavy armor, not so high hp, melle +magic

Conqueror= i don't know , never played it but i think guardian is what you want.

lvl cap is 80. game costs about 50€. and lvling is faster than in wow

The pvp is nothing like WoW, age of conan requires strategic movements. You can control where you strike and where to hold your shield to block. With archers you can go into first person view and shoot like you would in medal of honor and halo. Completely different.

guardians suck there mele combat is low and no coll spells they just have good protection

Depends how u fight...personally i think sword and shield/ spear both are fun as hell. Good thing u can respec your feats at anytime.

Guardians do terrible DPS. Even with a polearm, the damage that they do is very subpar. If you're looking to kill something quickly, I would steer clear of the Soldier archetype. That's not saying that they don't do well - because they can take a lot of damage. Frenzy stance will likely increase damage by a bit, but not by extreme amounts. If you're looking for a strong DPS class without magic, a Rogue would be your best bet.

yeah but i didnt like the rogue in wow neither i played it since it came out and always sticked to the warrior because i enjoyed it most the whole charge in a big group appeals me most if you know what i mean:) but thanks for the feedback i will keep keep track off the rogue types asswel.

You are mistaken, with rogue he means classes like assassin(the rogue from wow), barbarian or ranger. A good soldier type imo is the conqueror , go see some videos of conquerors in youtube, who knows you might like them.

This was actually one of my first pvp matches, so the spec that I used was the default one that was setup with Guardians. If I'm not mistaken, points were split between the Soldier & Carnage trees, though I could be wrong.

Graphics seem to run smoothly on this video, making it easy to judge quality to a point at least. At least it has the battle sound on it, unlike the other videos where you only hear people screaming. I liked it.
