Out of these top 3 martial arts movie stars, Seagal is the only one who has never been filmed in a real fight. There are films of him training in Japan, film of him training some UFC fighters, but NO footage of him in a real bout. I've seen Van Damme on film in an old bout and I've seen plenty of Norris footage in real bouts, but no Seagal. Hmmmm. I've seen him shoot a pistil at 50 yards quite accurately, only a little better than me, but no real fight footage. How can this be? Is he even real?

In Aikido there's no fights... a real aikido technique is enough to broke any bone of your body or damage some joints... So he's a real martial artist

Yeah, look at Don The Dragon Wilson, for instance. The fight scenes in his movies are pretty sloppy, so therefore people also thinks he sucks as a fighter in real life. But he still has more fighting credentials than these three put together. He won 11 World titles in kickboxing and could wipe the floor with just about anyone. But people think that if a martial arts actor can kick everyones ass on film, then he can also do it real life. Well, it ain`t so. Norris and Seagal never fought for real.

In order to be defeated by SS, JCVD would have to actually spend time as a sempaj in Steve-o's dodžo. It would take time for him to acquire the necessary and expected responses to ajkido techniques. Only in this way would he lose. The art of never getting hit requires instructing your students to run into you flapping their arms about, looking forward to an immediate pin-down.
I have not seen anything in SS's demos or the PATH BEYOND THOUGHT docudrama to convince me he could actually counter-attack a genuine offensive. He mops the dodzo matts with his Japanese acolytes who are half his size and who he's taught "everything." The fight I described would, quite naturally, not allow striking the groin. JCVD could kick you in the balls in a split second too, you realize.
Fatigue plays no part either? SS was never musclebound; Ajkido doesn't stress development of individual muscle groups. Seagal's technique of "blending with attacker's ki" obviously failed twice in a row during his double confrontation with 59yo Gene LeBell on the set of OUT FOR JUSTICE. If Sig was as focused a zen warrior as he claims to be, he would have found it in him to spend at least half an hour a day on the treadmill.
Don't get me wrong: SS is by far the coolest action star of them all. One can actually still watch most of his movies from the early '90s (for a laugh); JCVD's flicks are unwatchable, even to those who adored them as kids. Steven's plots and action scenes are the most reasonable and realistic-looking, even if he almost never gets hit on screen.

In a fight Van damme would probably win, because he's the youngest and in way better physical condition than Seagal. Chuck Norris rules, but he's 70. In their prime, Norris would win any fight. He's a multiple kickboxing and Karate champion with solid grappling skills. On an island, both Seagal and Van Damme would annoy me to death in minutes, while Chuck seems like a nice guy, so Norris.
Seagal and Norris both beat Van Damme. I believe Van Damme was more camera, than realistic. I think the real competition is really between Seagal and Norris, with Seagal winning that fight. I'm not saying for sure, because Norris is a great martial artist and I could be wrong, but one thing is for sure in my mind, they both beat Van Damme and are much more intense martial artists. I have fought aikido practitioners(no claim as to their greatness) and i found that in an uncontrolled enviornment they struggle especially against skilled opponents.
Norris fought and beat the best of his time. He did this at the peak of the sport!

I have not seen anything in SS's demos or the PATH BEYOND THOUGHT docudrama to convince me he could actually counter-attack a genuine offensive. Don't get me wrong: SS is by far the coolest action star of them all. One can actually still watch most of his movies from the early '90s (for a laugh); JCVD's flicks are unwatchable, even to those who adored them as kids. Steven's plots and action scenes are the most reasonable and realistic-looking, even if he almost never gets hit on screen.

He could kill someone in a couple of moves. thats the difference in their training styles. seagals training is really intended as deadly, or at least as a severly damaging technique. fatique plays no part either

@FonedykSosajedi another thing thats wrong with what youre saying is that hed be knocked out. seagals technique is all about avoiding attacks and turning them on the attacker. it uses the attackers momentum. hes a master at never getting hit. you cant knock anyone out if you cant hit them. and the way JCVD kicks, leaves his crotch wide open for attack. to an aikido master, thats like just throwing the fight. theres no provision against attacking the groin in aikido

What is the question here? Who'd win in a fight, or who you'd wanna be stranded on a desert island with? In a fight Van damme would probably win, because he's the youngest and in way better physical condition than Seagal. Chuck Norris rules, but he's 70. In their prime, Norris would win any fight. He's a multiple kickboxing and Karate champion with solid grappling skills. On an island, both Seagal and Van Damme would annoy me to death in minutes, while Chuck seems like a nice guy, so Norris.

Seagal and Norris both beat Van Damme. I believe Van Damme was more camera, than realistic. I think the real competition is really between Seagal and Norris, with Seagal winning that fight. I'm not saying for sure, because Norris is a great martial artist and I could be wrong, but one thing is for sure in my mind, they both beat Van Damme and are much more intense martial artists. Sorry, the ability to do crazy splits and be really flexible allowing you to throw good kicks does not make you good

I have fought aikido practitioners(no claim as to their greatness) and i found that in an uncontrolled enviornment they struggle especially against skilled opponents.
Norris fought and beat the best of his time. He did this at the peak of the sport!

The size of the person has nothing to do with whether they're gonna win in a fight and besides aikido, which is what Seagal uses, isn't about physical strength. Its about using your opponents strength against them. Physical size has nothing to do with it
