like really really bothering me, because it doesn't have the same feel as the piano version and i think the guitar can do as good of a job as the piano, but it needs to be played slower? i dont know, like more dragged out.

I think you are right lhurien. I don't know what I was thinking when I recorded this. Not making excuses but I arranged this one evening and the next day I recorded for youtube. I have never performed this live. A lot of people seem to like it I don't know why. IF I ever redo this I will leave out the hokey lick.

Great arrangement and execution. Not criticizing, but I think the bass line would have a little more impact if you hold off on it, through the first couple reps. That's what Metheny does, so maybe you avoided it for that reason. You also have way less laborious guitar face going on than old Pat when he played this. So kudos on that as well.
