  • Seeing these comments reassures the level of ignorance of the american people,to my dismay. So far from the truth but yet so certain of their ideals. Educate yourselves and your children for your own sake SMDH

  • The US spends $8,086 (Source: Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) per person per year on healthcare, yet we spend $16 per person per year on healthcare lawsuits (Source: HealthAffairs). Tort reform is blown way out proportion as it relates to healthcare costs.

  • So phoney malpractice claims are a problem but huge bills passed into law that nobody can read aren't? And flooding the world with 10 times more W-9's isn't a problem either?

  • what this video needs is about 2 minutes of this speech both before and after this clip...you will see Nancy and Harry doing "high 5's" in the background UNTIL he got to this point and then again after. Watch them carefully during this particular clip. Only further proof that the Dems are in the pocket of the trial lawyers.

  • Uh, we'll be holding our breath for progressive liberals to put their Harvard and Yale alumni donaters out of business.

  • Wingnuts that use terms like "Socialist" and "Liberal" are seldom familiar with their real definitions, but since they sound like big important terms they use them much the same way a caveman would a tree branch.

  • The quality of health care in America lies somewhere between "the best" and "37th" in the world. "Best" if you have a Cadillac plan and are in an area that actually HAS the "best" care, and "37th" if you want to believe what unbiased sources have concluded from their studies.

  • It is easy to spot those who are not arguing for any solution to the health care issue in this country, but rather - those who simply want Obama to fail, which, the last time I checked, was really not a way to achieve anything but making themselves look like complete obstructionist dolts.

  • healthcare is clearly rationed in America right now - To the wealthy, and as far as waiting for treatment, how many times have you heard the term "scheduled for surgery" used when referring to procedures that do not require immediate attention? The countries that do have nationalized health care do not make people wait for critical care - the same as here.

  • Your teabagging ass is as worthless as the party of no that will be splintered by the uneducated teabaggers, rendering you and all other cavemen as useless as the shit-filled, rotting corpse of John Wayne. Lay off the strychnine and snakes, asshole.

  • Uneducated, Excuses me you would love it if I were a uneducated trust fund Baby, But I am the direct opposite of what you think I am.

  • Yes - Sorry. Judging from your spelling, grammar, and sentence structure I should have known you were a highly educated sort.

  • I hope Obama keeps on the aggressive path he is on because he will only dig his own Grave and take his party with him.

  • @nikkowinter No - Republicans will fall prey to the impatience and ignorance of the teagbagger mentality and their party, which is in the toilet worse than a year ago, will be further splintered.

  • This comment was actually funny. Well written! I'd love to stay and chat but I have a tee time on the Peninsula you ghetto whore! The reason I made Money when I did is because I worked 65 hrs a week, I didn't sit around on my ass wondering what I was going to get for free and who owes me. I did it for me. P.S. Republicans are the #1 contributors to Charity. Did you know it takes the Democrats $7 to distribute $1. and the Bill Gates foundation .8cents? You started the name calling!

  • They are also notorious for not tipping, hoarding the wealth they enjoyed from the Bush tax cuts (that means NOT creating jobs). I forgot - anyone who isn't a Republican knows nothing of working more than 40 hours a week. Then again - inheriting your parents' estate must be exhausting work.

  • I started with 5k that I earned working overtime as a waiter while getting my Masters in Business! Both my Parents died by the time I was 21. I inherited a truck that I later had to sell to pay for the funeral.

  • Are we comparing sob stories now, Republican?

  • I don't know Democrat are we?

  • @nikkowinter Thought you were golfing

  • I am.

  • You seem to be the Jealous type! Has life not treated you fair? Have other people around you had an easier life? Have the Republicans ruined you life? Vote for Obama the Robin hood of the Future, trust in him and good things will come unto you. Or at least we will have bigger Government Buildings to house more Democrats. I may end up in Jail for saying this you know.

  • @nikkowinter It must be nice to have a few million stashed away - to be able to afford to vote Republican. You can't vote Blue Cross out of office idiot.

  • medical malprace reform is distinctly different from tort reform. if you mess with the tort system, your giving even more power to big business, and the already own congress. protecting the consumer is the most important thing.

  • 90% of claims against doctors at court are judged spurious, vindicating the doctor. The doctor still must defend himself. Even warranted claims don't make it to court if they don't have some enticement for trial lawyer. The system needs to move from courts into an arbitration setting. Defensive medicine is jacking up costs way beyond the one percent whatever the trial lawyers grab from our 2 trillion dollar a year medical system. So that's only a few billion dollars less in lawyers pockets?

  • Republicans do less - This is why they are still enjoying the lowest approval rating ever - Even before Bush left office.

  • Why the hell are you for Sue Happy America?

  • @nikkowinter How much, asshole? How much would YOU settle for to be blind for the rest of your pathetic right-wing turd life? crickets....

  • You are exaggerating the law suite costs just like every right-wing turd lawmaker does in defense of unbridled greed. The actual cost of payments due to malpractice is actually less than one-percent of the entire cost of annual health care spending in America, but again-facts are inconvenient things to the average strychnine-swilling snake-handler.

  • How much is your eyesight worth? What is a "reasonable" amount that you would feel satisfied with if you were rendered blind by the hand of a surgeon? - Asshole.

  • Nothing, Surgery is a risk. If the Doctor was drunk fine but the Idea of Sue Happy America is Bull Shit! And FUCK YOU for calling me an Asshole you key board warrior. Call me an Asshole to my Face and I would cave it in! What has Obama done for Tort... NOTHING who has the current lowest approval rating now?

  • @nikkowinter I would call you an asshole face to face faster than a cat can lick its ass - ASSHOLE!

  • @nikkowinter You aren't a "keyboard warrior" - Besides - you have NO argument anyway - typical right-wing turd asshole.

  • Comment removed

  • @nikkowinter You want to threaten me over stupid Youtube comments, go ahead. Just because you don't go by your real name doesn't mean the law doesn't know who you are, and by the way - you can't really delete ANYTHING you post.

  • I Threatened you? Please! Your right I'd better not speak my mind because if I do Obama may soon make it illegal to do so, he may lock me up and take all my Money and give it to the poor.

  • Well, good for him. Finally something that made sense.

  • Yeah, don't hold your beath he would never do it because the lawyers are too deep into his pockets. I would love a bill if all they did was open the borders past the state and some simple tort reform nothing else.

  • Of course you're right.

  • tort reform has to be a huge part of fixing healthcare here...its the one thing liberals dont want to touch for the most part.....if they just cap the pain and suffering nonsense and leave it to just compensation for lost wages, it could save huge money in the long run...

  • He hasn't done anything nor will he.

  • youre sure right about that..

  • Tort Reform is #1 most important thing to bring costs down. (Netherlands: 100% private, low caps on litigation, quality care at far lower cost.)

  • Interesting...

  • Scam artist !-- makes applause-worthy statement & then in very next breath libels doctors & in effect neuters his whole tort reform promise by picking a former head of trial attorneys to investigate trial attorneys -- in-our-face audacity.

  • This guy is all about audacity.

  • You have no idea how badly I wanted it to be true, though, so I could start liking this guy. I really didn't want to hate the first black president. I was hoping the narrative of our country would be something like: we had a great system of government but slavery stained it, we abolished slavery, and the first black president, rather than being bitter, chooses to see past the bad to the good in the ideas of the founders as merely ideas (nevermind who came up with them). But alas...
