  • Not sure if you still have your hops or not...never heard of using canola oil like @Mrkendo1982 recommends, but we found that neem oil kicks their butt and seems to mask that pheromone they secrete, - it's what draws them. Also, insecticidal soap kills them great. The object is to knock them all off when they are feeding so they won't return. I have an epidemic with them every year on my grape vines and apple trees. Also, never use those traps, it just brings them to your area.

  • Try spraying the HOPS with canola oil solution and plant lavander around the garden.

  • I've got Japanese beetles eating my hops up too. Anybody got any solutions? I'm growing Mt. Hood, Sterling and Chinook.

  • those fucking bettles are destroying my glaciers. i go out there every day and kill as many as i can. they don't touch my zues' though. i'm pretty sure that the zues are pretty disease resistant. check out my vids and see for yourself. take it easy billyd and keep showing us how it's done.
