i wouldnt keep ur m3 under 4500 rpm until its broken in, in fact the best thing u can do is to rev it through all the range as evenly as possible. im not saying to push the hell out of it, but dont be afraid to rev it up high. by doing this u establish the ware pattern that the car will respond to when u do want to open it up. nice exhaust btw

This could be debated. Most of the times we see posted are done by auto "journalists". They aren't hard on the launch and they NEVER powershift. If you get a good stick guy to drive an M3 or 335i, I bet he gets off the line faster than the automatic and powershifts down the track. I drove both cars myself and know for sure that from a stop light i can launch the manual much harder and faster.
