The Senate stimulus bill will fund over $100 billion in gov. construction projects, wanting to provide additional jobs to unemployed Americans. The govt's own estimate is that 1 of every 7 hired in construction is illegal. Government estimates that each $1 billion spent on construction will create around 19,500 jobs, each lasting a yr & this bill will create construction temp jobs for about 2.4 million workers. This means 300,000 jobs will go to illegals if E-verify isnt used

At the same time Obama was pushing for passage of the stimulus package to HELP unemployed, HIS ADMINISTRATION quietly DELAYED implementation of a RULE DESIGNED PRECISELY for that purpose federal contractors use E-Verify. A key concern is that the move could be a prelude to withdrawing the requirement altogether. Purpose to secure future votes of illegals granted Amnesty.

Citizens & legal immigrant workers should not have to compete with illegal immigrants for employment. We should preserve these increasingly scarce jobs for them. Anything else is an affront to U.S. citizens and legal immigrant workers.
