Even under the best of circumstances, families are extremely exhausting. --I need to learn how to make my mother's Pecan Pie & her Coca-Cola Cake. When my grandmother passed, she took her Japanese Fruit Cake with her. The family got the recipe, but nobody has been able to recreate it.
Having just had mine, have to say I'm indifferent. I do something fun, in this case went to a base ball game and then to the pub. I don't make too big a deal.
