@mackinnon182 ppl say its bad for the plant and their right, but your right too, cigarette does put co2 to the air. The only thing ive personaly saw happening is tabacco mosaic but the plant grew just as good as others plant around.

what do you mean florescent are not strong enough? ive seen grows with florescent start to finish and they got great results, i have been using florescent for vegging and it works fine, they take a little longer but barley use any power

current tap water in most citys uses cloramine which can only be removed by reverse osmosis.. A ph of 8 is too high.. you want it to be around 6 to 7 for soil.. and 5.5 to 6 for hydro.. my tap water is 7.3 or so and i use about 10 drops of PH down per gallon to bring it to around 6.0 or so.. then my soil and nutrients raises it to 6.5 to 7....i know my soil.. nutrients and PH down solution well by now and dont really need to PH anymore... but as soon as i change soils i will need to PH again

@rootbound420 Is it true that chlorine can only come out with reverse osmosis? I've always left mine out for a few days and the smell dissipates...I've read elsewhere that it evaporates with time.
