  • I didnt hear you address the poisoning of the grounds or waters or how to dispose of them. There is not enough SAFE places to dispose of them yet they want to demand we use them. I would much rather use and LED bulb than the CFL.

  • yeah and the mercury poisoning from the CFL and harm it does to the environment is a good trade off huh? CFL's should be outlawed before the incandescent should be. Ill take the LED any day of the week.

  • @Azartyn To get mercury poisoning from a modern CFL, you'd have to lick the interior of the bulb surface. Concentrations of mercury in them are infinitesimal compared to bulbs of old.

Let's not forget how unlikely they are to start fires, cause severe burns, or shatter due to temperature differences, as the don't get anywhere near as hot. They're also at low pressure, as opposed to extreme negative pressure.

  • Amazing how much light the modern LED can produce. Very cool for something that was discovered by accident. Most lights should be changed to these or compact flouresents. The world would save tons of energy, and keep ooodles of carbon out of the atmosphere.

  • hmm

  • Very industrial looking!
