Okay Monk (Dave's stage tech) said that the gauges for his baritone strings are .39 .29 .18 .14 .12 .16. So basically you would string your acoustic baritone guiatr with extra light acoustic strings (disgard the low E string and use and an extra B string).

not really. dmb has very 'hardcore' fans here in europe but they're not many. here in portugal they came to lisbon thinking it would be a mediocre show,but when they saw 18000 people screaming for them (most of the people were watching a dmb show for the 1st time) they gave a huge concert. it was even the first concert they edited out of the US (live trax 10)

the guitar has been tuned in an open way because of that the chords are very strage. To play it with normal chords you have to begin with E and D. Regards

Look at the chord shapes he is doing during the verse. If i were a guitar that was tuned normal (I know that is not what you are saying) he would be playing A - G. They are the same shapes. BUT, in playing those same shapes, he is playing E - D, which means that all strings on the guitar are tuned down a 5th...which means its a baritone guitar.
