It does state that congress will not provide for a state religion, as in the church of England. There is no state religion in the USA. That is why this country was founded, on freedom. I think there is truth on both sides of this coin.... I think the office making scheduling decisions is working from a smaller budget (Obama cut-backs on military spending) - a strategy to make tough decisions was probably implemented based on a "re-look" at the regs. It was unfortunate that the responder included the religious aspect of the policy - he could have denied participation based only on budget. Hopefully this will apply across the board from now on or there will/should be outrage.

Some of the Founders also stated that this is nation was not founded on the Christian religion, as stated in the Treaty of Tripoli, which was signed and ratified by John Adams. Perhaps it is you who needs to study the lives of the Founders and Framers instead.

@mlr2112 Why r u rehashing something from 11 months ago? U already got ur feathers ruffled about it in ur original response. As 4 ur latest response, REALLY?!! There r PLENTY of instances in which the Founders refer to their faith in Christ, Christianity, "the Cross", etc. As 4 the Treaty of Tripoli, read the wording of Article 11. This was a treaty with an Islamic nation, and his intent was to take religion out of any future conflict. He was speaking THEIR language in terms of religion.
