  • fake as hell

  • omg noob it doesn't even clean itself !!!!!

  • Fake -.-

  • This is even worse. Its already broken BEFORE they spill coffee

  • fake

  • This is fake, unless its not a finished lenovo product. But, theres no keyboard or touchpad, the laptop shutoff before the coffee hit the laptop, and theres no windows operating system that just comes on without locking (yes you can customize windows 2 not lock but it went into some sort of sleep mode or hibernation so it wouldnt just come on)

  • please kill the messenger!

  • Coolness!

  • hahah cool

  • It turned off before the coffee touched the keyboard.Does it smell the coffee or what??If so What about water #LOL

  • @ImJustSayin9 LENOVO_WAYNE :D LOL

  • LOL

  • do we really need a robot arm to do just that? man ppl are lazy nowadays..

  • YEaaaaaah... No (finger)

  • are there seriously this many people who think this is real? its a joke..

  • lololololol

  • actually its real. I have Lenovo T61 and the keyboard is spill resistant. the area below the keys collect the water and funnels it to two holes below the laptop.

  • Lmao idiot, this is a viral, google it.

  • would be cool to have one

  • TROLL

  • no shit. its supposed to look like the laptop covered itself

  • how do they do that? why i haven't seen this model on market?

  • this is a spoof dipshit

  • the screen changed before the coffee hit it

  • it illustrates a layer of protection (something like plate armour going around it)

  • why dosent the screen say WATER DETECTION PUT ME IN A TUB OF RICE since rice absorbs moister

  • what's the point of having a robotic arm do it. just plain lazy

  • they have a robotic arm that drops it too

  • or is it just plain lazy? they need to make sure all the tests are the same throughout, the best way to do is is via a robot. it seems over kill but it is necessary.

  • @gigajudge It's to make sure it's poured the same every time. Learn about the scientific method retard.

  • fake cause the coffe dont touche the laptop when he shut down

  • Its meant metaphoric, its a freakin commercial...

of course video rendering has been used, what did you thought?

  • that'd hurt my fingers if I was typing...

  • the laptop close befor the cofee hit tha laptop

  • That's the idea, fuckwit.

  • Then how did the laptop see this comming?

  • With his eyes! O_O

  • thats a fake ...

    WAKE UP KID !!

  • thats fucked

  • przeciez wystarczy zatrzymac film w 4sekundzie zeby zobaczyc, ze warstwa ochronna wlacza sie przed kontaktem z plynem

  • is that really coffee??

    it looks like crap

    lol

  • R slam this tight lil ass =]? C

  • hi visit me ~the virgin~

  • i wan it (fake but should be true)

  • mine can do that

  • i need this laptop now

  • how does it know the liquid is comming?

  • he can smell it

    XD

  • The screen does actually shake as the "armor" comes up over the screen, suggesting it could be real. It might be a strange concept that the Lenovo R&D department came up with and decided to test. It could easily just be a CG joke, however. Lenovo laptops do drain water that gets in the keyboard, but I have never heard of shielding.

  • so what kind of keyboard is that? I don't see the coffee going into the gaps. there's a hole under the keyboard where water comes out.

  • it's one of these "funny commercial", the laptop actually pulled the blinds down once the liquid was on top.

In reality it will hold this much of liquid provided that you only spill it on the keyboard or lower part. If it goes between the screen and the keyboar it will most kill the laptop

  • Some one hit a cup of water down in they lenovo pc it didn't break.

  • it is up to u to decide ... i had one desktop .. 5 years but can play resident evil4 and fear + i think Lenovo is cool.

  • nice editing

  • is a shit

  • guys! quit saying its a fake!!!

you guys dont get the point of the video, if you look at other ad's by lenovo, you see the exaggeration!

the idea is that the thinkpad protects itself by closing all its gaps with metal plates. if it detects the coffee that might hurt the system wich u cant really see that good since youtube has limited resolution

  • so it closes BEFORE the coffee gets into it.. htf can it do that

  • Fake

  • thats fake i mean look it turns off before the coffe even touched it

  • Coffee (like any other liquid of the same state) usually splatters. So yeah, this is animated.

  • WTF? not onlt does the screen fail BEFORE the coffee hits the keyboard, but the keyboard doesn't look remotely real.

  • yep your ryt there m8

  • This is totally fake. If you look at the video frame by frame the computer starts shutting off before the coffee hits it

  • That was stupid

  • I think this is a CG animation

  • my dad has one of these laptops, he loves it

  • watch?v=2MZmmv6h5oo&eurl - this is about the same laptop wtf Oo

  • its just marketing. the video is more about there "drain system" under the keyboard.

it will let liquid flow away from any electronic part.

  • tell just 64bit coffee

  • This Lenovo laptop yesterday cut of my finger!!!

  • lol

  • This is not fake, I saw this on HGTV's new gadgets show. So, people sounding off about it being fake just to see your own comment and make yourself feel all important...sorry to disappoint you, it's real.

  • Wow, are most of you people idiots? This IS NOT FAKE! If you watch very closely the laptop actually shields itself from the coffee. IT DOES NOT TURN OFF! WATCH CLOSELY! It has a sensor to sense for "danger" and then shields itself from it. Most likely it would do the same for water. Possibly even a brick... But that shield probably wouldn't help with that... I assure you this is NOT fake though.

  • this sucks

  • Fake coz it turned off b4 the coffee touched the keyboard

  • The screen turned off before the coffee touched it....

  • the coffee spill looked really fake

  • fake!!!! just market!!!

  • cool

  • fake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! computer graphics...

  • this is real, because we chinese people did it.

lenovo is the advanced chinese computer company

  • yer and now watch it again and notice how the comp turns off b4 the coffee ever touches the keyboard

  • yes that how all lenovo computer does it, you are not in lenovo then how did you know is fake

  • so your saying that the computer is smart enough to know when a hot stream of coffee is accelerating towards it at 9.8m/s^2 thereby locking itself up?

  • its called a sensor =/ you just have a beam of light and when it's broken the laptop shields itself a bit like a light-gate.

  • I find that hard to believe...

  • especially since your beam of light will be broken each time you come close to the laptop... what happens then? you cant use the keyboard every time you wanna use it... think about it... plus your beams of light would need to be pretty dense to detect objects in a hemisphere type area... otherwise youll just get blind spots everywhere.

  • just watch this watch?v=2MZmmv6h5oo&eurl its the exact same thing it just a neat computer saying the laptop can stand up to anything almost :)

  • WTF? Is this real or fake!

  • it did look a little bit of real..

  • WOW

  • fake

  • incredible!

  • uff

  • Nice
