  • I wish I could find you on the Internet. And podcast Great suggestions. I sit zazen, Burmese position. I want to practice yoga to sit half or full lotus position. I have been sitting for 20 years. My Buddhist mane is Hōki which means Dharma Joy.

  • Very nice and very helpful. Thank you!!!

  • Very helpfull :o) thank you! I like the end ;o)

  • I love it!

  • THANK YOU! This is exactly what I needed help with! I can never get into what look like the simplest poses, like staff pose which I have never been able to get into in years of attempts. It is so frustrating when I look for stretches to help my hamstrings that start in positions that I can't even get into because of my tight hamstrings! I am going to try working with these variations to stop straining my back and neck and try to get a stretch in my legs for once. FINALLY someone has explained!

  • @model4cakes don't give up, it's not a question of "if" you'll get more flexible but "when". Nothing magical just the physics of the body.

  • Thank you for this video, it is very motivational for people like me - I want to start Yoga as I know it will help me, however my flexibility is exactly like this guy, basically non existant - I also cannot sit at a 90 degree angle without feeling pain. This video has given me some hope..! Can you please recommend any DVD's I could purchase to do at home? This is a great start though, thank you!

  • Thank you for a whole lot for your videos, they've really helped me a lot on my own way to yoga and zazen!

  • Viva la zen is stupid!!!

  • Great video, I tried some of these and I didn't know I could do it!

  • this video is great!!!

  • Great instruction. It hurts to look @ some of Davids poses. Sorry David, but congrats on being a sport and trying. Good Luck!

  • hahah im too stressed to meditate.. that was agood ending! My friend thanks so much for this. Many people ask me to show them my chi gong but i run into obstacles that your video has inspired me to attack in a different way. I dont suppose you have any tips on how to help somone who arches their back forward the lower they get into a horseback stance? u.. anyway thanks very much for sharing have a great day!

  • I have never commented on a video before, but I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed this and all your videos that I have watched. I am a beginner at yoga, but I love it! My hamstrings are so tight that everyday is a challenge, but this is something I really want to excel at! Thank you for posting your videos!

  • This is the first yoga lesson that is funny.

  • cool, is it possible to show how I could better stretch to touch my toes? "standing forward bend - uttanasana " this will help me reach my goal to touch my toes? I should do like what he does and after awhile it will make me more flexible to touch further down?

  • What a great and useful video! Thank you. The humor makes it even better.

  • Where oh where oh where were your videos 20 years ago when me and my tight hamstrings were struggling through karate classes? Great, great stuff!

  • I love your videos. You are so great teacher of yoga practice.

  • i love the video!

    thank you!!

i train 5-6 times a week and like most people hate stretching, and think i am too tight to do yoga, but not anymore:)

    thx

  • I love the light-hearted happiness that emanates from all of your videos. It makes me feel good and made me want to practice everyday. :) Thanks for all the tips, I wish I was in Japan so I could go there.

  • haha, maybe this is what I need to touch my toes!

  • wow that works..see i can just get past my toes wen i try and touch them... what u showed just then is really good but how long do u hold that spot for or wen u get in that spot wat then.. repeat gettin into that spot ?????

  • Yogagarden videos are always so enlightening! This video has motivated me, a usually unmotivated person with horrible posture, to delve into the amazing world of yoga. Thanks, Patrick!

  • your voice is so relaxing

  • fantastic videos! thanks for sharing

  • Hey,

I just watched yr vid. I never would have ever thought about yoga till today when I was at a friends bbq and she got the wii out and a game called Wii Fit, Yoga was the 1st thing she choose and asked me to have a go and I was like no no, till I tried it, and god I really enjoyed it.

I wanna start yoga because I want to be more flexible plus I have never been able to touch my toes, hope to one day :)

Thanks for the advice your awesome.

    Lou

  • Love it! Thank you Patrick! You are a great teacher (I am sure you already knew)! Would a new Tai Chi video be coming it's way as well?

  • Dear Patrick,This video is excellent. All your videos are.I like the tone and the humor to them.I am one of those "REALLY INFLEXIBLE" people who are trying to do yoga and meditate. Unfortunately,my teachers had failed to explain what to do when you are as inflexible as I am.Beginners classes always looked advance to me.I appreciate you taking the time to post these videos.Especially, the one about meditation, how to get into Lotus and this one.Thank you for spreading your teachings over the net.

  • great video

patrick, you completely inspired me to start yoga :)

  • Thanks for posting this, Patrick!

This will sure help me with my yoga practice. Keep up the good work! ^_^V

  • That cafe is so retro...
