I wouldn't call the video "dumb", but there are some things left out. Trees can only be planted too deep, so raising the tree higher than ground level is better.

this is not helpfuland is wrong. for a guy that runs a garden website and charges for it you should redo it. the first thing is to check for drainage. then the decision if you have to mound the tree. then your hole is dug wrong, and depending on the tree you may need certain soil amendments or none at all, then you did not cover the watering in and 2 weeks of daily watering. you must not have planted many trees. dumb video. that is not a good mulch btw for that tree type.
