  • good, put the spammers out of business... permanently.

  • What if you know what word you're supposed to type to identify this CAPTCHA alternative, but you spell the word wrong? (e.g. "hosre" instead of "horse")

  • someone's going to have a seizure over this

  • this video captcha is useless... we are using not only automated captcha solving but also captcha services... the software will send the captcha to the service and just send back the answer. cheers.

  • a bot can get passed that easy just find the big lines and the white areas add them together and vwala

  • Honestly I could care less if bots spammed the channels. It happens still anyway, even with the bloody captchas. For the past three days I have had captchas for every single message, and I post alot., and I'll have to do a captcha after this as well I imagine. I'd rather put up with the odd channel spam then captchas.

It's fucken bullshit, and it's not necessary for the words to have so many characters and be warped so much either.

  • i like how her refers to them as "scientists" when the people wokring on these are probably just nerds with A+ that play WoW on the weekends...

  • This will be used to keep skynet out of our computers.

  • @strilight I have detailed files.

  • What, more Rorshak tests?

  • What about Aliens or Marshals?

  • @Vincebandicot521

    what about them?

  • im not sure.... They might see/watch us right now.

  • When you have trouble proving you're human, something is wrong. Now how long will I have to wait for this captcha to download?

  • dwe2tf

  • Good idea,

but it's wrong that tracking software in general gets confused by the noise, it is still possible to extract the "horse data" by making some time analysis, by deleting parts which change too much from frame to frame in the easiest case.

  • That's something amazing.

But I wonder how would it work...

Like: "Type in the next box what do you see"?

  • @menoziinrevoltado

yeah, I was thinking about this earlier.

bot could learn with those Questions and bots could even make a copy of that animation and matches the one being shown..

so there's no really escape with smart bots.

I still can't think of way of stopping bot spammers but just to moderate the comment. Block IP addresses, make smart word filters, etc.

  • Most of the text based ones are annoying and unneeded. But, there is still one type that I do not mind using. There is the college one where what you type helps in figuring out specific words in books so we can have the actual text form.

So if you are using a site, and it is the one from the college site (usually red, forgot the name), you are actually helping out in textualizing (yes I made the word up) actual books.

  • My best friend is blind and uses the program JAWS. He does computer programming and does more with a computer than most anyone. He's a pure genious though and has overcome so much. Sooo...yes people should and do surf the internet.

  • dont tell us your problems.

  • When did I even mention anything about my problems? Everything I said was positive. Either you're retarded or just a moron.

  • No one cares about you having having a blind friend, it isnt our problem. That better for you?

  • No it's not better, because it shows you're even more of an idiot. The person I commented and mentioned my blind friend had previously commented and said how blind people can't use computers or something.......and then he/she deleted it. I wasn't complaining or spilling my problems to YouTube. Way to be a worthless asshole, though. There, that's better.

  • not much use if you're blind.

  • yea the letters are annoying..this would be much better

  • i'm pretty sure that ppl who specialize in diseases cannot do this tipe of animation. And vice-versa.

  • What a waste of time. Instead of doing anything productive, you're sitting on your ass and ranting on Youtube. Great.

  • And you're watching people sitting on their ass ranting on Youtube!! And yes, me too, but i'm not complaining.

  • I was replying to "TheRealQawser"

    Good job, dumbshit.

  • I know you were. I was saying that you were wasting your time on youtube complaining about another guy wasting his time on youtube. Don't you see the irony? And besides it was joke. Idiot.

  • @TheRealQawser Wait wait... you are going after them for trying out new things and being innevated, and you call that wasting their time? This is coming from the person watching the video and replying on youtube, why don't you quit wasting time and use that time toward the areas you mentioned.

I find they are being more useful than your time here.

  • much nicer :)

  • Check out Vakano ft tony - Growing Pains

  • lol brilliant

  • This is not a new idea, even not a scientific step foward, you fail featuring this

  • ah...what?

what does "even not a scientific step forward, you fail featuring this" even mean?

  • I am a 12th generation bot I wonder if it will work on me LOL.

  • Up-to-date Turing test.

Specify the test and clever programmers will work out how to pass it.

    Bots will ultimately win.

  • yeah .. but still ... what's the correct answer? ie man? or runningman? manrunning? or etc

  • @notNEWW they will probably offer multiple choice answers, personally I absolutely hate the scrambled text shit so this is more then welcome!

  • very smart!

  • So how does it work? Does the human have to type in what they see?

  • Was thinking the same, it could end up being just as ambiguous as some of distorted letters.

But would be funny if it was multiple choice.

  • i guess so

  • I think that is the idea. By the way...

Me on RDF = CdesignProponentsist :)

I subscribe to this channel and noticed your name and comment. Figured you are the same IYFNY.

  • trippy

  • Brilliant!

  • It will take more time for the animations to load but i guess it'll be better than some of the buttfucked texts that are just impossible to read sometimes.

  • OMG! You're a spambot! :D lol

  • @Coecoo Definitely! I've had a hard time reading some of the captcha type pictures; those animations look like they'll be a lot easier to use.

  • Hey... I like some of those butt fucked texts you get sometimes... I received "antichrist" the other day and thought it quite appropriate.

  • What will they do about visually impaired people though?

  • @CGallProductions a link to a .wav file representation I would imagine

  • blind people arent surfing the web are they?

  • I don't see the horse. all i see is death and destruction.

  • lol

  • I truly hope they start using these.

    I freaking HATE Captchas!

  • This is pretty good but not the end solution, the ultimate user experience wouldn't even have a captcha. I really wish there was some way... I am forever typing in the 'wrong' letter and having to refill in the whole form again. So annoying.

  • It's good thinking and interesting that the human mind can decipher the image, but ultimately, if the computer can create them then the computer can figure them out.

  • No, computers don't have any intelligence to distinguish an image if it doesn't know what to look for.

  • Just like xoskeleton2 said, you are simply wrong. Prior to making a "factual" statement on a subject you should try researching it and understanding it first. kkthxbye

  • nice flawed logic there, sir.

i don't believe you are intelligent enough to understand what goes into making these animated captchas and how it goes to the end user. you're wrong, simply said.

  • Actually I am well aware of the pixelation algorithms requiered for making animation. I have written a ray trace algorithm and a hidden line removal algorithm similar to the one used in Autocad. The facial recognition software is something remarkable, and it is my opinion that object recognition is only a matter of time, followed by abstract object recognition. I am not downplaying the effort, I am saying that the evolution will eventually require a newer technology.

  • not bad, i hate captchas, the ones on youtube are practically impossible to read half the time

  • I hope they don't do this...I can't see what I am supposed to be looking for.

  • nice idea. maybe they could simplify this to make it efficientt

  • You know what they should do? use one of those optical illusion face / vase things n ask what you see to log in :D

  • good 5/5

  • This is similar to the effects you can get by staring at the noisy screen on a detuned television. After a while you will see swirling patterns because the brain tries to make sense of the lack of information. This demonstrates that it takes very little suggestion for the visual system to conjure up a moving image.

  • so instead of typing 'Ykojhig84', you end up typing 'HORSE'. surely thats easier for a computer with a dictionary to guess.

  • I'd like to see a flying toilet headshot in dot-animation....

  • I think that an optical flow tracker would be much more successful. But the point is, If you used a picture of a person, and this animation, it'd still look the same to a computer.

  • nice, so the idea is that you type in, say "horse" when you see one? how can that replace letters in a captcha (which is much more complex and hard to guess)?

  • A machine can said that what is seeing is a horse! thats why :P becouse all is noise and we know what a horse is and how it moves , if we never see that horse we will see noise too! ( well almost , we see some patterns but nothing clear )

  • well, my point is that the computer can reload the page and guess all kinds of different normal stuff that we are likely to animate. with a captcha like DFJ235RF. Its a bit harder to guess for a computer ;)

  • Or you never use captcha or i don't understand the point at all. Guess needs to try , and is very rare that it hits the first time , and soo if it try to much time it's gets a BANNED IP , so that ends the bots work from that IP. Becouse it has a finite amount to time you can try guessing , it will ending stoping any ip that the bot has in his zombie ip. So also DOS attack are not successfull.

    Thats my point :)

  • Who cares about stopping bots? I don't see the big deal Besides as computing power increases they will be able to do more than our minds.

  • Interesting! I love the idea of getting a replacement for those annoying text things ^_^

  • Don't you guys think that this might be dangerous for people with epilepsy?

    Srsly, think before you act.

  • @CoolmarkCooner I agree, I think we should stop the production of anything that flashes really fast because it could cause some people seizures. We also need to stop the production of peanut butter and most other foods, some people are allergic to them.

  • Cool, but I'm sure computers are still quite far away from being able to solve Captchas.

  • @mate2000

Not really...they can actually get most of them.

  • That's true , but is more easy for us in this way than try to write the right symbol.

  • wth is with this Sikh video trailing and relating to every video and channel that gets an abundance of views :S?

  • quite excellent

  • cool.

  • Captchas are kinda hard to see, especially if it's very small with my eyes

  • They sure are - and it's even worse when the word you have to type is something like "JILT71OQRPCDB" - why don't they just make real words?

  • how long would it take for a bot to be developed that can recognise slowly moving black spots from randomly appearing and disappearing black spots?

  • nice, but i think something like that could be put to better use, not sure what though

  • fucking great music videos!

  • great... another way to make it more difficult and tedious to log into accounts.

  • cool

  • Cool!

  • Captchas are sometimes so hard to read that these animations would be to prefer. And they are so much more interesting!

  • you'd have to write "it's a pony" to show you're not a robot

  • I think I just had a seizure.

  • I would much prefer using these animations than the captchas. The captchas drive me nuts, because I often fail to enter it in correctly the first time or so because of letters that are ambiguous.

  • so thats why are those pictures always so shity and sometimes undreadable -.-

  • way better than those shitty captchas

  • more entertaining than the code thing

  • why are humans being punished when its the bots fault?

  • @pubtor because idiot humans are controlling the bots.

  • Cause humans created the bot directly and indirectly.

  • Humans: 1

    Skynet: 0

  • death to votebotz and spambotz >=D

  • and what do they expect you to type in then?

    running human in a circle?

horse running from left to right?

    -.-

  • moving letter x

  • hmm i dont know what to think! what about ppl who have outdated technology? i know ppl who still use IE5, FF2, etc. would that be a flash animation or how do they think that every browser can handle the image (only concerned about older ones)

  • What about a gif animation? :)

  • im pretty sure if ur using ff2 u can't go online. cuz as soon as u restart firefox it gets updated automatically. and if u know a way to use ff2 without getting updated then the guy is a genius. so no problem for them. u dip shiiit.

  • the current solution works fine, why elaborate a simple thing so much?

  • no it does not, bots can alreade read most captchas

  • @Meddlmoe Soon bots will be able to read captchas easier and faster than humans

  • But what about different people's interpretation of the images? Where the main image is 'horse' one might also be able to find 'beauty' or 'speed' or 'wild'. Hope it has the ability to handle multiple interpretations like that eventually.

  • cool animation. if you like animations like this go visit

    jk lol

good idea.. rorschach would be proud.

  • lol... fake bot XD

  • If you've got synesthesia, this'll fuck you right up.

  • Or benefit you!

  • .. or it might be a wild ride of a lifetime! ;-)

  • finally... sick of trying to read that distorted text.

  • Really nice!

Stupid text is some times so hard to read you need the power of all super heroes to actually read them... so stupid!

  • I knew there had to be something better; those things are becoming so hard to read that soon bots will be the ONLY thing that can figure them out.

  • I guess this is OKAY, but how do you identify? Do you type in 'horse' or 'person'? What if you spoke another language?

  • @julzeatspu

Perhaps a minor brain work doesn't harm you?

If the site is in english, what do you think the security system's language might be?

  • no need to be patronizing... What if the site is english but the visitor is german, or japanese etc.

  • What would that change? The site is still the language it is...

At least I haven't encountered any anti-bot systems that change it's language by the user's demands...

  • thats because anti-bot systems just require the person to repeat the letters/numbers they see.

  • The animation will obviously be companied by a question regarding it, usually with a single word answer, like "What animal is this", "How many legs does it have", "in which corner is the frog" etc.

If you can't answer a simple question with a one word answer regarding what you're seeing in a tiny animation clip, I don't think the site will be much use to you since your understanding of the language is not even grade school level.

  • Slug99 has just owned julzeatspu.

  • What about people with vision problems? They are already having problems reading those crypted text at the end every registration process! This will only worsen the situation!

  • @TheDepreso progress has its price

  • but they dont have problem with brain...

  • lol, my vision is fine and I have trouble trying to figure out what them images mean.

  • there are also audio bot blockers

  • bot deserve to rot

  • Hopefully. I fucking hate bots.

  • Wow! That's pretty good!
