I was 11 and no one I knew personally died I was in Florida but the sheer terror of that day we were a bunch of immature little kids and we were all quiet
I was in Kindergarten and I don't think my parents told me it happened to shelter this from me. I don't think I found out about the towers falling until the 1st or 2nd grade. I kind of feel bad for not having a better story.
i was four. i remember it. i will always remember it and i hate when people say that it is impossible for me to have recollection of it. hell, i remember what the towers looked like two years prior to the attack. i remember it all, so don't tell me that i don't.
I don't necessarily remember the exact day, but I know I was in first grade, probably 6 years old. I do remember a few days after learning about what happened and my teacher asking us if any of our fathers/mothers were doctors, firefighters, policemen, or w.e who went to help. And my father was a volunteer firefighter who responded, and another kid's dad was a doctor. And then we made thank you cards, and that's all I really remember. Now 10 yrs later my best friend's dad was on United93 : (
Lookin good dasha. I would comment a story of my own, but I all i remember is the image of looking out of my middle school classroom and watching the towers smoke in the distance.
I was in 4th grade (9 years old) and my school didn't tell us the news, so I didn't know what was really going on until I was seeing it on the TV at home on every channel as well. I was really confused as to what was going on, so I don't remember much of that day. I didn't completely understand until I got older, but now, I am close to crying when I see/hear anything about the tenth anniversary.
I was 3, I was watching TV and the channel changed to 9/11 coverage. I saw the planes crash, people jump, the towers fall. I was terrified of what I saw but I needed to see what was really happening. Once I found out about Osama planning it (I was 9 i think) My #1 dream was to blow that fuckers head off. Someone may have beaten me to it but at least it was done. Remember those who died that day. <3
I was in first grade, I remember having no idea what was going on.. they sent us home early on the bus and I walked in the house and my mom was crying and watching the news and she said "the world trade centers came down" and I was so young, I thought she just meant that they knocked them down in construction or something.. I didn't understand then. We only lived 30 minutes from NYC and I had seen the towers so many times before, it was weird seeing an empty space in the sky line from then on..
I was a freshman in college and had just finished my music appreciation class, I was on my way to the writing center at my college when I heard the radio on. They never played any music or anything in the writing center so I asked the secretary why the radio was on. She responded: "Planes have been flown into the World Trade Center, the president said it was an attack. We're at war." I was nowhere near NYC, I'm from Alabama, but I raced outside and called my Mom to come and get me. D:
I was sleeping on September 11th 2001, Then everyone woke me up.. and told me the news.. Very sad to hear this when waking up....but then I heard that people were saying it was all a hoax.. and also people were saying it was not real.. and might be a government coup or something along those lines... Cause of building 7,8, and 9. I personally thought right away it was an attack to bring down fascism in America. To be honest!
I grew up with a group of people that had eliminated most of their emotions, we value logical response to situations. That being said when I was little my mother was meeting an associate in a park. We heard a man shout out for help, and then he was shot. He died. My mother asked what If I felt anything. I said no, because people die, it happens. My mothers associate cried a lot. We didn't understand why.
I think thats why for me and those like me, september 11 was just Tuesday.
I was bit young to understand it. I remember saying "why would they hit a building? its a really big thing, that must have been a bad pilot" i didn't under stad, i live a little bit outside the city, i remember seeing on tv it didn't feel...real.
Damn you got a jaw on you girl! Could have given Zyzz a run for his money..
