@superfrickensexy i cant really reply to this cause it was so long ago and im not sure what i even said, but if steel is on fire at a certain temperature it can certainly bend and cause a collapse. the steel wont melt. bending is enough to take down the 15 stories above it down. once that happens those 20 or so stories create enough momentum to take down every story below it. its not that hard to understand and its completely possible.

Any knowledgeable demolition expert will tell you that in order for a bldg. to "fall" into it's own footprint, you have to explode a large hole under the bldg. The explosion you hear is this very thing along with some sort of thermal explosion to help bring down the bldgs.
