@TheSharron You got that right..he has a wonderful voice...I hope you have his CD!.....I totally agree Clint would have been wonderful as  the husband, he has a great comedic side to him....they would have to look high and low to find another actor with Clint's attributes....I guess Rock could have played his part...LOL....Another movie Clint would have been perfect in was "Calamity Jane" opposite Doris Day..He already proved he was the best Cowboy...and he had the voice....such a waste....

Clint Walker is the handsomest & manliest human specimen ever caught on film -- and that goes double for his deep, swoon-inducing voice.  Too bad you couldn't have substituted a song from his heavenly Warner Brothers LP! Great Tribute to possibly the most rugged and strongest of all the western hero's of the 50's and 60's. Walker at 6'6" was bigger and taller than John Wayne but never really got the recognition he deserved. Only James Arness was taller at 6'7" but if i had to choose who could out last the other in a fight i'd go with Clint for sure. Thanks for posting this gem.

@Etnalleb Thank you for your kind comments. I agree. Clint never did get the recognition he deserved or the acting roles that other stars got. Maybe he had bad management. Clint Walker had it all and I think we can all agree on that! What a hunk!

@cheyennefan223 Hollywood searches for tall, handsome, physically fit actors but I think Clint Walker was a unique case of being too good looking. He was so much more impressive than any of the other stars that it hindered his ability to break into the big leagues. No star wants to be upstaged and how could you stand next to Clint Walker without looking like second banana? One director cut his scenes because "he looked like an oak tree standing next to tree stumps." His leading men= the stumps.

@cheyennefan223 Or he just didn't manage his own career well enough. He did get leads in a lot of films but they weren't "big" films. He could have done what Clint Eastwood did and form his own production company. Eastwood and Walker are contemporaries, just 3 years apart in age, but Eastwood created Malpaso Productions a long time ago and took control over his own career and his own films. If Walker had done the same his career may have really taken off. Too late now; he turns 83 on May 30.

@JackKangaroo1 Well, you may be right about that too. I feel bad because Clint Walker's career could have been so much greater that it was. I'm sure he doesn't let past decisions or regrets bother him. At 83 years old he still has a great fan base and I'm sure he's happy about that!

@cheyennefan223 Clint Walker will always be an iconic figure to me. As Cheyenne Bodie he was what I wanted to be when I grew up. On looks alone he should have been a superstar and I doubt anyone will ever rival him in that department. Plus he had charisma; you can sense that he's a nice guy. But considering that he worked steadily for decades and that few actors can make that claim, I'm sure he's got no regrets.
