  • He gives us drummers a reason to say "When in doubt, pent out"!

  • troppi " pressati " inutilissimi

  • Very good... But seriously... melodies on a drum kit just sounds dumb... Talented though

  • You fuck

  • Bozzio plays it like drumming is his religion

  • Ufuk is turkish a word.it's same like horizon.

  • In some moments he looks like Liam Neesom... Oh yeah, the drumming... Awesome!

  • i love his orgasm face

  • the thing is that these aren't "traditional" solos where the drummer hits every thing he can as fast as he can, these are melodical solos, he plays drumms as a piano, that's why Bozzio is out of the circle of traditional drumming, you can't compare him with other drummer because he play something entirely different. :) he simply rocks

  • if you like terry then you'll love Max Roach...

  • foot dynamics..... great Terry!!!!

  • @mommydaddy78 I'm not really sure where you are reading that I am presenting myself as a superior drummer? I certaintly do not even consider myself on the same planet as Terry Bozzio but what is the point of sharing your observation of something if it's not honest espcially when it comes to art?

  • @juddgreg333 I agree with you. For me he is the #1 drummer, and I am not worthy to even stand in his shadow (drumwise). But when I listen to all these Live in Concert compositions (U-fuk, Cairo, Samba Ousada, etc.), they all are f***ing brilliant, but have indeed quite a few similarities. If he really is God (he comes close!), he'll certainly forgive is for these small remarks. Respect !

  • @vangorkj yeah you´re right, they do have some similarities. mainly they´re played on drums. :) But seriouslly, if you compare different compositions of guitarplayers you´ll find similarities as well. It´s their style or signature i.e. how they feel music, if you catch my drift.

  • @mommydaddy78 oh good lord don't be so dramatic. I also said he's one of the most influential drummers we have in our lifetime. We both know I can't play anywhere close to him as I'm sure you can't but what is art if we can't be critical of it, observe it and comment on it. All I'm saying is that there is a common thread through his compositions that just seems as though he has been playing off of for sometime. Seems a bit lazy.

  • I dont know if this guy is really good or really shit.

Its hard to tell because all of his solos sound the same.It seems he does the same thing over & over. There is skill there but its in circles if you know what i mean.

  • @TheJagzy wow, they are called freaking ostinato's....he's gotten so good over the years that he has the right to show off his 4 way control(it's not your average 4 way control, he plays multiple melodies at once) anybody who can play with frank zappa is a MASTER....watch more stuff before you criticize(not solo stuff) you don't have any clue how difficult it is to play the hands over those "boring" ostinato's(they are SUPPOSED to be repetative, it's like a one man drum circle)

  • @TheJagzy you see one guy and decide to criticize the ostinato....that's like watching a drum circle and asking the guy in the middle if he ever changes it up.....HE KEEPS THE ORDER, the others just add metric modulations, subdivisions, polyrhythms, and polymeters....well he does all that himself, so in my opinion he is the most technical drummer out there(you might like chris brien more).....but i'd say vinnie colaiuta is the best....the best modern drummers are morgan agren and mark guiliana!

  • How do you write that on sheet music?

Its AMAZING!!! But i'm curious! ...

  • @kvg4541 a special sheet that has a lot of space? :S

  • @kvg4541 but honestly this could be writte like notes, the toms are tuned in a particular note, so this is like a guitar with notes like E,D,A etc...

  • @kvg4541 he probably uses a stave for each limb if the music is true composed

  • that's the bozzio I like !

  • please don't get me wrong, I love Terry Bozzio. I think his influence is one of the main contrbuters to pushing the instument forward. However, his solos can be very predictable. Cresendos on the cymbals, rolls on the mini-pitches toms, bass drum ostinaito, and thrty-second not combinations on the cymbals and snare. It seems like the same schtick for the last 10 years.

  • @juddgreg333

hence why I hate his playing

  • I think he needs a stack cymbal

  • this is simply the most amazing drum work i have ever heard not just musically but structuraly and its just amazing to watch. its like watching god create. this is the quitest ive been in a long time. this is so hypnotic.

  • Pure genius.

  • he must have studied alot of different styles of music. Indian music! BOOM!!!

  • he should get some mandala pads ...

  • You can see many awesome drummers giving a solo on youtube, but only Terry plays song on his solo

  • Amazing...

  • Wow...no spring chicken. Love it...
