you need to do some study about singing and harmozing to realise taeyeon is a good singer with good skill and her duet with PHS Snow flower is not bad, that called harmozing , not out of tune. Just their voice didn't blend well together so it sounded awkward.

the harmonizing part is completely wrong. the person who mixed this should know this. taeyeon's and PHS's scales are completely different, you would have to change the pitch of the entire recording to get it to somewhat seem coherent but this is not it.

Sigh, people who doesn't understand different keys in music would think that Taeyeon or PHS is off-key. But the truth is, they're both on-key. Just that they're singing in different keys to their own instrumental. They can't be singing in the same key because it'll be too high for PHS or too low for Taeyeon. There's nothing wrong with their pitch. Instrumentals can usually be sung with different keys btw. It might be the same instrumental but 2 different keys mushed together.

@phusk8r harmonization is mostly related with vocals when you're talking about singing. it's also about hearing but i guess it's 50-50. that's how i think of it. and i was only asking a question (how could they be harmonizing blahblah) and giving my opinion on your indefinite statement.
and "Taeyeon and Park Hyo Shin individually sang this song once before. A fan mixed the two songs together into a duet.

well i think being able to harmonize and being a good singer is different. not completely but theres a difference. there are sometimes good singers who cant harmonize with others.
oh this is two separate songs mixed into one? i didn't know that. the one who i replied to said that taeyeon, who supposedly, messed this with her horrible harmonization so i thought that they actually performed a duet together.

@phusk8r yeah i guess the person you replied to didn't click the "more" button either. and in a duet, harmonization is essential and to be a good duet you need to be flawless at harmonizing with each other. i thought she was okay when she sang her solo parts during snow flower but when she sang the harmonization... oh god.

@Veryhappysone I'm not a opera singer or a professional, but as you could see from the majority of the comments, people didn't feel her singing. That's not an opinion, that's a FACT. If there is one part I want to point out, the harmony part was pretty bad. If you disagree, your just making a fool out of yourself...

You can take a karoake thing and put the tone up if you want if your voice is higher --___-
She's actually quite in tune. It's just when you put the two together. They're not at what we would say is a very.. ear-friendly interval.
It has nothing to do with her ability to sing. She's IN TUNE in terms of her own instrumental.
The description said that he/she put the two INDIVIDUALLY signing it together.

@fenggstar It's not harmonization. She SOUNDS flat in terms of Park Hyo Shin's KEY. The two keys together = DISCORD, the exact opposite of harmony.
I've already explained this in my first comment: THEY'RE SEPARATE. The two artists were not SINGING TOGETHER in this. The uploader just took 2 separate clips and put them together without changing one of the keys to match the other, please read the uploader's comments.

the harmonizing part is completely wrong. the person who mixed this should know this. taeyeon's and PHS's scales are completely different, you would have to change the pitch of the entire recording to get it to somewhat seem coherent but this is not it.
