Do you realize that by supporting Obama you are just garanteeing more bloodshed against Iran, Pakisatn and Iran? Obama and McCain have the same attitude but their policies are the same.
Ron Paul is endorsing Chuck Baldwin. This revolution will require that we all become leaders. Ron Paul is just the beginning... he is a true patriot. Where are you? It is time we step up to the plate. Join campaign for liberty! Look for it online.
You should really look at ones actions. Don't judge a good man by what you think of his religion. If Ron Paul was in it for power, fame or money... he would run as a third party. Instead he promotes Chuck Baldwin for 08 and he started with his campaign for libery (to promote individual actions and knowlegde. He teaches no center for power... we all have to be patriots in the spirit of the founders.
After the two missionaries were killed I was transferred to Chile. Chile had a brutal dictator Pinochet, he was notorious for his regimes brutality and its ability to make people disappear. He gained power through the actions of the CIA (its debated whether it was purposely or blowback of its actions). Pinochet held elections and always won. I have seen how people can win their freedom and take control of their government.
There was no bloody revolution or revolt in Chile. There was no secret CIA movement. The Chileans persisted in an outcry for fair and honest elections. Pinochet agreed because partly he believed people loved him and that they also feared him. There was much fear among Chileans of retaliation when he would lose. There was talk of a possible civil war because everyone knew the dictator would not win if peoples vote truly counted.
The people had the courage to vote their conscience to elect a President. There was a real fear that the dictator would not respect it and kill people but they had the courage to stand up. Complete freedom wasnt won over night... but gradually because of their persistence in their outcry for freedom. Pinochet gave up the Presidency and eventually the military and fled the country.
Indeed. "It is enough that they know there was an election. Those who cast the votes decide nothing. Those who count the votes decide everthing."-Joseph Stalin.
Except for CSPAN, every network in the nation simultaneously IGNORED this event. It's a media blackout, and that's unconstitutional. US airwaves belong to the US people. But AlJazeera ran it!
why do people think its only 700billion its 900billion and could go higher if needed just because they called it the 700billion dollar bail out doesn't account for all the other shit they shoved in the fine print in the bill
INMENSOS EGRESOS ADICIONALES SE PRODUCEN para pagar a BANCOS HIPOTECARIOS.

Hey "trade abortion", sorry..tradernorton, money can't buy you anything worth keeping, and you certainly can't take it with you when you die so lonely, screaming with your eyes wide open:)
the correct term for "socialism for the rich", is fascism. when the government intervenes on behalf of the capitalist/owning class, it cannot be socialism. the term, and many others, like "communist" or "terrorist" have no genuine meaning in US media, the terms are just used to demonize official enemies and mischaractarize other actions into terms more comfortable.
associating the bailout with socialism has a negative impact on how people perceive that word and anything associated with it; this is because people do not like the bailout and thus are likely to develop bad feelings about anything associated with it. when the media starts calling it "socialism" over and over again, people begin to have negative ideas about "socialism" as it is defined by the media (as any state intervention). people become less likely to look to political power for help.
the media is essentially saying: if you do not like the bailout, you do not like socialism, because they are the same thing. this is a manipulation of terms in order to confuse the class consciousness re-emerging in the US. this consciousness turning into political action would be very bad for media owners and the people being bailed out. in a way, this is discouraging people from taking political action through the government with propaganda saying: things like the bailout will be the result
this effort is done through effective propaganda techniques, like continued repetition of terms. it works at what could be called a "subconscious level" for the people who are exposed to mass media and hear the information over and over again. people may not have know what is happening at the front of their brains, but none the less their behavior is affected. people are more likely to think negatively of anything they hear about "socialism" in the future. leftist change is less likely then.
calling the bailout "socialism" can also have a softening impact on the bailout action, as it is perceived by the public. it confuses understanding and hides what is really going on from the public. the public understands private capital power grabbing the government as "socialism", a term that really means something opposite. the media is able to avoid using more correct terminology, like "state capitalism" or "fascism", which are more ugly and more accurate ways to describe the bailout.
by this way, the media deflects the blame for the bailout onto something that is ideologically opposite of the bases of power that are behind the bailout action (capital concentrations and their political advocates). "socialism" and its associations with leftist progress and working class power becomes the scapegoat in the subconscious, not the true source of the problem, which is the owning/capitalist class and their political advocates.
While you make very good points, I do not believe that the term "fascism" describes the method by which the public pays for the excesses of the wealthy, absorbing the risk, while the wealthy gain any profits there are to be had. Certainly, a properly working socialist state, as in Western Europe, spreads the risks as well as the benefits across the entire population. Perhaps you are correct to term the US practice as State Capitalism, but I don't think that captures it either. Respect!
i dont think "fascism" is a perfect term to use to describe it, but this is much closer to what is actually happening then calling it socialism. "state capitalism" is more accurate. to simplify things; socialism is state political power being used for the working class and downtrodden, while fascism is the state being used to service and increase profits of big business. the elements of the bailout are closer to fascism than socialism.
Fascism is the correct term, consider the following:
"Fascism should rightly be called corporatism as it is a merger of government and corporate power."
--Benito Mussolini
"The liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerate the growth of private power to the point where it becomes stronger than their democratic State itself. That, in its essence, is Fascism -- ownership of government by an individual, by a group, or by any controlling private power."
Ralph Nader all the way. The only way we can get these suit thugs where they need to be,off our damn streets is to vote for the one's standing behind the people. Ralph Nader is standing with the people. All we have to do is make the right choices. Nader 08
I wasn't talking about just the President we need to clean house. A lot of them must go. We need people who are ready to start putting America back together. I'm glad he didn't give up shows me he doesn't say one thing and do another. I was glad to hear you would vote for him he has alot of good ideas on this bail out and war and this patriot act. Like Americans don't know how to act in a crisis weve been through 8 yrs with Bush and his suit thugs. I think we held up pretty good.
Exactly. But how do you clean house? You need Representatives and Congress person who are from neither the Democratic party nor the Republican party. And that is what I can grass root.
And any third party who wants to win over the nation must have a set of policies that will work at the local level and not just at national level or international level.
Freedom is participation if power, if your representatives fail to allow you to participate then you are not free. Go to the ni4d*dot*us site now and vote now to give the American people real power that we may check and balance the current system.
Most European countries has socialist elements. The greatness of USA was built on socialist ideals. The greatness of the German Empire before WWI was built on socialist ideals.
