Plastic vs glass being assiciated with cheap vs quality does not mean anything if your super expensive phone going to be ruined on the first fall. Being practical is better than just looks. Even with someone like me who's very careful with my expensive phone, there are a couple times my phone still hits the ground. It just takes one little err. Even with a fall face down on the glass, Samsung still survives very good. Samsung here definitely produced the better true quality in practical sense.

Samsung has been making phones for while and knows what materials to use to make it durable although people call it cheap, i don't mind because they use a high grade plastic which is pretty durable and since there is no metal, the durability is increased and the weight is stupid light. So you got a plastic to glass phone that's very light which equals to a durable phone. IMO if your going to spend that much money and it's an everyday use at least make it durable and the SGS2 is iPhone 4 isn't.

apple designed the phone well except with the materials. phones are supposed to be somewhat durable and the iPhone isn't. why? It has metal and glass no plastic. The metal is durable yes but, the impact from a fall the metal won't suffer much but, will send the impact to the weakest thing which is the glass which in turn will shatter the glass.Also, the weight has a big factor.
