I loved the monday night wars and I loved the EC-Dub for doing all this crazy shit years before WCW and WWF began to break the rules and get rid of this typical babyfaces and heels. I agree that the alliance angle could have been better but I LOVE it. So why do most people hate it?

I have a theory: people had built up the angle too big because they wanted to see real WCW/ECW top stars in it. I began watching WWE in 2004, so I saw this angle (on VHS) without any influence from WCW/ECW (I love ECW) and I LOVED it!!! If it was a different "alliance" no one would complain. So forget that it's suppose to be WCW/ECW and look at it for what it is.

I for one actually liked this angle; it made Vince into a major good guy and made for some great tv moments. People slag off the Alliance line-up for lack of stars; but nearly every alliance member that turned up I recognised straight away; Booker T, DDP, Kanyon, RVD, Mike Awesome, Lance Storm etc. The only way they could've made it better is with the addition of Flair, Sting and the nWo - cause tbh I was never a big Goldberg fan, the streak to me was boring as hell

I don't care what anyone says, but this was one of the best angles in wrestling history. Very underrated. It changed the face of wrestling as we knew it at that time. I almost glued my eyes to the screen during this whole invasion angle, it was just so freakin entertaining. It was like a pipe dream that was made to happen. I would say this was even better than the NWO. It just didn't go on for long enough, or maybe it did, since it didn't really get stale, atleast to me it didn't.
