Keep using Vista. M$ likes all the personal info Vista has transmitted from your computer to Redmond WA ! YOU love all the software and hardware incompatibilites that come standard with each Vista purchase! YOU love DRM! YOU like the fancy Windows Blind interface:Aero. YOU like knowing your music files will be scanned for illegal ones in and perhaps even rendered "Corrupt" afterward. YOU like knowing you spent alot of time and money for nothing. And less than nothing is what you got. WOW!
Well said. It amazes me that ViSta was ever launched! I guess M$ was forced to keep XP around for far longer than M$ wanted because Vi$ta does indeed blow.
Falco does Rock! Besides "Rock Me Amadeus", we have such classics as Der Kommissar, Vienna Calling (where Falco was from) and Jeanny. It helps to understand some German with some of his stuff.
I would like to say, if you want to use Microsoft and pay money for it, go ahead. Linux does everything I want, it's fast, cheap, easy to use and set up, and it's a very stable development environment. I'm not a hardcore gamer, and I must say, if Big M could provide me with what I wanted I would be willing to pay money for it. As it is, Linux suits all my needs perfectly.
my main problem with linux right now is that I can save like 70 bucks for the OS but I'd still have to pay for the upcoming releases of my software since I don't use open source programs (I work on video, animation and VFX).
You can save your M$ machine, and just dual-boot with Linux. I use Linux Mint Daryna. Google for Linux Mint, and join the forum there with your questions.
Well, I am experimenting with openSUSE right now after experimenting with ubuntu (which I didn't like), and I am finding openSUSE to be very likeable (as in more friendly).
What are some of the differences between mint and suse? This thing about distros has always confused me so I pretty much go for the "hearsay".
Overall Mint has: better hardware support, media codecs you'd have to find and install on other distros, more software to choose from the repositories and compatible packages to name a few good points, many things just work "out of box".
Suse has its points: less resource intensive, beagle search integration is better than tracker.
Some other distros worth checking out:
Puppy
PCLOS
Dream
Mepis
Zenwalk
Tthese are so far the best among many distros I've evaluated.
Nice vid. Excuse me while I play Crysis,Bioshock,COD4,MoA:Airborne,Witcher,ect.
After that, I may do some editing with photoshop and make a DVD with great menus on Windows DVD Maker. Cost and Price makes competition...competition makes better games and programs. Peace
ha ha ha! I need not point you in the direction of the Linux alternatives. You pair of trolls are as bad as each other, even the Linux ones trolling Micro$oft
The one thing that I've always looked for with those M$ videos was that they never can be recorded from the Desktop of the M$ user. Those video captures don't impress any one that knows what to do.
Linux users record the real thing with their own Desktop recordings using those Linux tools.
that's because some people are just too lazy to actually look for a screen-recording application.
Right now I am using "cam studio" and it works pretty good, although the "loseless codec" doesn't seem to like vista64 so I am going to try the flash one instead.
because obviously all that computers are for is to play games. some of us actually do useful things, "work," and windows bloatware really does suck ass where performance is concerned
Yes sir, Vista Blows ASS!... Indeed. Much Ass It blow. On the contrary, uhh. Yea it blows.

nemirc,
I'm having great problems keeping up with the comments to all my YouTube videos. The comments are about 4 weeks late.
I think Google is having some problems keeping up with us Linux users. LOL!
Happy New Year!
