I have both versions of this song--Brian singing it solo and Freddie singing it solo. I listen to both back to back and love them!! Both beautiful versions. Freddie 's voice is always heavenly. But Brian's singing on this song is so personal and moving--and for good reason. He wrote this song about the depression he went through torn between his wife/family and his lover (now wife). He even contemplated suicide...so his emotions in this song are very real.

Freddie recorded this song and all the rest from album "Made in heaven" shortly before his death in a studio in Montreaux in Switzerland. Album was released in 1995 for the 4th anniversary of his death. If you saw any pictures of him from 1991 you can pretty much figure out why there's no video, he was ravaged by full-blown AIDS by then...he just recorded songs until the week before he died...and his voice was stronger than ever....RIP Freddie!
