  • resistration is like making sound. you can choose a sound as you like and as you think proper for the score to be played. usually it's indicated when musician made his music..

  • While I'm not an organist, I love the instrument and music.. I love the registrations and the clarity. Magnificent, indeed!

  • @manxknobs what do you mean by registrations ? Did you perhaps mean harmonics ?

  • @PlasmaEnthusiast Maybe I am not using the correct terms; I'm not an organist. This explanation comes close to what I meant:

The registration chosen for a particular piece will be determined by a number of factors, including the composer's indications (if any are given), the time and place in which the piece was composed, the organ the piece is played upon, and the acoustic in which the organ resides.

  • Thanks for a great "palate cleansing"! I heard this piece massacred on a really fine instrument at the cathedral in Morelia, MX last night.

  • Magnificent.

  • Thanks for a truly outstanding interpretation which seemed to me to capture the true spirit of this beautiful and emotionally-charged work.
