erm, there is a smarter thing to do. get a free versoin of the logmein app. then get the emu on the computer, make it fullscreen with no$zoomer and it's essentially an emulator for the ds on the iphone, itouch. if they ever come out with logmein for the ipad, i suspect it to run very smoothly.
