I used to laugh so hard at shaqs commentary on jordan...
"I see him do things, you only see in your dreams. I seen him go up...get bumped....flip the ball....twist around...and lay it off the glass..........you....can't do that."
This is always be argument about who is the best rapper. 2pac or Big? who is the best football player. who is the best singer etc. But Jordan is no doubt the greatest basketball player ever. No one can argue that with me!
Jordan will always be the greatest. I dont think another player will be able to re create all the same attributes that he had, to go along with all the same acomplishments
@MrReman23 What has kobe done in the play offs? What big numbers has he scored in the play offs and finals? Where was he hiding when the Lakers got SWEPT in the Dallas series?
@bolder2009 SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! KOBE ALREADY HAS AS MANY RINGS AS MICHAEL JORDAN!!! HE IS ALREADY CONSIDERED ONE OF THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME!!! THIS YEAR HE WILL HAVE MORE RINGS THAN MICHAEL JORDAN EVER HAS!! HE WILL LEAVE WITH TOO MANY RINGS FOR HIS FINGERS AND TWO RETIRED JERSEYS!!! 24 1 ABOVE MJ HE ALREADY DEFEATED MJ AT 17!!! KOBE FOR LIFE! HE IS THE GREATEST RTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@MrReman23 NO HE DOESN'T YOU IDIOT!!!! KOBE HAS 5 RINGS SO HOW IS THAT AS MANY RINGS AS MICHAEL JORDAN???? The rings are a TEAM achievement. Individually, Kobe's accomplishments to not stack up to Jordan. That's just the plain FACT. Deal with it!
@bolder2009 MY MISTAKE! I'LL GIVE YOU THAT!! BUT MICHAEL HAD A MUCH MORE TALENTED TEAM!! OMG WATCHING HIS GAMES PISSED ME OFF!!! HE GOTTA BUNCH OF HYPE IN A COUPLE OFF PLAYOFF GAMES IN THE LATE 90'S!!! DON'T THINK I HAVEN'T WATCHED HIM!! MY DAD WAS AROUND FOR THOSE MEMORABLE YEARS AND HAVE TAPES OF ALLLLLLLL HIS GLORY YEARS!!! IT WAS ASS!! HE WAS MISSING 3 POINTERS LIKE SHIT!! HE WAS SKINNY AS SHIT BEFORE THOSE 6 YEARS!!! HE GOT LUCKY AND HUNGRY AND NOW HE'S ASS AGAIN! KOBE WAS ALWAYS GOOD!!
@MrReman23 "I HAVEN'T WATCHED HIM" Well I've watched both of their careers, so I know what I'm talking about. And you say Jordan had a more talented squad. For the first 3 championships who did he have besides Pippen? Did Jordan ever play with a dominant big man? NO. Kobe had Shaq, one of the most dominant players in the history of the game. Historically, championship winning teams have had a dominant big man. The Bulls were an exception in that Jordan was as effective as a centre in the post.
@MrReman23 The Lakers have the highest paid roster in the league. The amount of money spent to assemble that squad is no joke. Jordan spent his first 7 years without any help. He was the only allstar in the Bulls and carried the team on his back. Pippen wasn't mentally strong enough when he first came to the Bulls (go and see how he got bullied by the Pistons in the 1990 Eastern conference finals), Jordan had to push him in training till he eventually started to play at the required level.
@MrReman23 The baseball thing was something that he did to honor his father. I'm sure you do know that Kobe has already played longer than Jordan. Jordan's two retirements prevented him from shattering even more records. It wasn't about that. He just needed a challenge. After the 1993 season his father was murdered. He left the game while he was still in his prime. When he came back, he continued to expand his game and DOMINATE. Then after 2nd retirement he came back for the love of the game.
@bolder2009 Jordan has 83.5 percent from the line for his career, just behind Kobe's 83.8 percent.
Bryant also has the slight edge in three-point shooting, at 34.1 percent to Jordan's 32.7 percent. Kobe's always had Derek Fisher like MJ had Pippen but Fisher's career averages: 9 points, 3.2 assists, 2.2 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game.Pippen's career averages: 16.1 points, 6.4 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 2 steals per game, including four seasons in Chicago in which he averaged more than 20 points
@MrReman23 I love how you've avoided bringing up the rule changes that allowed perimeter players an easier route to the basket. I love how you've avoided that fact that Kobe has never come close to 50% field goal average for a season even with all the changes David Stern brought in to make it easier for teams to score high numbers after the low scoring defensive era of the 90's. I love how you avoided the fact that KB is the league leader in missed shots. A volume scorer like Wilt Chamberlin.
@bolder2009 man all i gotta say is, kobe is the g.o.a.t. and even MJ says the game moves on and one person wont be the greatest forever in regards to the new players today. (particularly kobe)
@bolder2009 ADMIT IT!! Kobe had to do more for his team than MJ ever did. he's played with so many different players, Smush Parker, Kwame Brown Shaq and Gary Payton and Karl Malone to Ron Artest, Adam Morrison but he always manage to win despite fighting through some key inconsistencies in his supporting cast.
@MrReman23 Jordan had NO help till his seventh season yet he was the most dominate offensive and defensive player in the league, and carried the team to the player-offs every season. Kobe had a prime Shaquille O'Neal who was the most dominant big man in the NBA and was unstoppable in the post. Kobe had Shaq from his first season in the league, so how on earth can you dare to say that "KOBE HAD TO DO MORE THAN MJ EVER DID." How??? Are you seriously dumb??? Look at what Shaq did at LA. Wake up!!!
@bolder2009 shut the fuck up arguing like bitches. u faggots kill me! kobe is better, no mj is better, no lebron is better, how many rings? Who the fuck cares get a life losers!
@bolder2009 no not a tough guy. Its just funny how you "guys" act like little school girls and argue back and forth. So nothing really is bothering me except you bitches.
@336freeman No what's funny is you thinking you can tell people what to do on youtube, like that's gonna make a difference. You are as much a 'loser' in that regard.
@336freeman@336freeman i like how you tell people to get a life yet you have been commenting on every kobe/lebron/mj video and writing biased comments, which means you too are clearly taking sides
you also called me a fag because i wrote that i saw lebron once and wished him good luck even though im not a fan. wow man, like im not even mad at you or anything, i just feel kinda sorry for you.
@superman1113215 stalk much? No I just comment on the lamest comments (like yours) I think its funny. No offense to you personally. And thank you for feeling sorry for me. I feel better now.
@bolder2009 the Bulls were the only good team besides DET, LA, and Celtics. Kobe had to deal with losing to the pistons too like the bulls and he even cried because thats how important the game was to him. "he only won three titles because of Shaq"? he has more titles than Shaqs 4 and Shaq was a pussy that left to suck dwayne wades dick cuz he needed assistance. kobe has played with bandaged hands and thru injuries but mj misses 64 games like a BITCH! the nba ant even pay him! hence a lockout...
@MrReman23 The facts don't support your opinion on Kobe. If you really think the Bulls were the only good team then you need to do your home work on that era, cause you just lost any grain of credibility in trying to debate about an era you clearly know nothing about.
@MrReman23 If all you can bring up is 81 points against a Raptors that had no D, then you are clutching at straws. How about 63 points against Bird's lengendary Celtics team in the PLAY OFFS. The only thing that's weak is your jealousy of Jordan's status as the greatest player of alltime.
That shot Horace was talking about, you can watch the Nets players in the bench react when he pulled that off. That is sick if you get the opposing team of their seats
magic to me is like the most respectful towards this game...he give credit where credit is due...man if i had magics' skills....i'd always be arrogant...and he has the right to be...but he doesn't do it
@VinmanMJ23 i don't wanna sound like an a.hole, but Kobe has done something similar, if not, better.. look up the layup vs. about four spurs defenders in the paint.. its pretty sick.. so theres two guys.. kb.. mj lol
@CaliAhjee24 I don't believe Kobe could make that shot for two reason: 1) he can't jump as high or as far as Jordan could. 2) He has small hands and wouldn't be able to put that kind of spin on the ball to make it go in. Link to a video of him making a shot like that.
@CaliAhjee24 I found the video you were talking about. It was nice, no doubt about it, but the degree of difficulty is no where near that of Jordan's shot in the video above. I'd say it is more comparable to the reverse layup that Jordan made earlier in his career against the Atlanta Hawks, where he split two defenders while in mid air and made a reverse layup. I'm sure you know the one I am talking about as it is in almost every Jordan highlight reel.
@ 0:33 I wish one of them jokers would have met Jordan at the rim so that it could have been an official shit fest. But as you can see they didn't want no parts of that..LOL
Stinking kobe kids. you just have no idea, no idea at all. The nba is a product and creation of the greatest player to ever play in any sport ever: michael jordan
@CEO1451 Thats what I've been saying to you the last two comments, Kobe will reach MJ in games started in the next 84 games...and so he still will be behind MJ as far as points scored. Even if you add the extra games Kobe has as a bench player which still need to be accounted for.
@CEO1451 Yeah but remember he has played 955 to MJs 1039 as far as games started is concerned. Obviously he won't be close to reaching MJ by the time he has played 84 more games as a starter, add to that the extra games he played as a non starter and it still wouldn't be enough.
@CEO1451 Which means he would do it in in his THIRD season starting next season, which means in THREE seasons, you just repeated my point. Kobe has started 955 games while Jordan started 1039 games in 15 seasons. That is 84 games, basically one season, Kobe isn't reaching MJ in ONE season(84 more starts). With that being said, Kobe would have played more seasons than MJ and still would not reach MJ, Kobe will eventually pass the mark but only because he will compile more seasons, case closed.
What an athlete.. Greatest ever! The move at 2:17-2:31 is something that I will never forget all my life. When I first saw this move I jumped from my sofa and I sat down after 15 minutes! Just couldn't believe what my eyes had witnessed...
@CEO1451 Michael Jordan won 6 rings after only 13 of his 15 years. Kobe won't do it in 2 years, he is averaging about 2000 Pts a year the last couple of seasons, he is at 27868 while MJ is at 32292. That would mean he would have to keep that average for 3 more years assuming he can even keep playing at that level(he'll be 33 next season). And he did start every game on his 3rd season so that would be 5 on 13 if we take your way but still, played more seasons than MJ. It depends on his health too
@CEO1451 He will probably end up scoring more points but only because he will play more seasons than MJ. He has played the same number of seasons as MJ with this year and he does not match MJs numbers. To match MJs scoring points he needs to play at least 3 or 4 more seasons and stay injury free. That detail alone is why Kobe just isn't in the same level. MJ won 6 titles in 13 seasons, Kobe 5 in 15 although kobe might win more rings since he has more time but it won't make much difference.
@vladiator100 People that don't know a lot about basketball (the people that say that Kobe is in the same league as MJ in other words) forget about defense as well. Everything you're saying about the offense side of the equation is true, but MJ was also a MUCH better defensive player than Kobe.
B4 my time, but... Now I'm completely convinced!!! Single handedly the greatest athlete of all time!!! I've never seen any clips even remotely close to this B4!!!
How can NBS fans today say that LeBron, Wade and Kobe are the greatest. People seem to forget just how good Jordan was. Jordan made plays, moves that none of these 3 have yet to do. Jordan possessed an uncanny ability and agility that surpassed these 3 players combined!
YA SEE MJ U HAD EM LIKE DAT....PPL GOIN CRAZY, PULLIN THEIR HAIR OUT, PPL GOIN HOME I MEAN TO THE OFFICE THE NEXT DAY SAYING, MAN U MISSED IT!! U MISSED IT!
@stefanswe I have to agree. Actually, it is the best move i have ever seen in my life. Without exaggeration. He is the only person in the history of the game with the power, skill, artistry and hang time to complete that play.
From another planet. I dont really know how else you describe someone like Jordan. Guys nowadays can replicate some of his moves, some even make more wild shots. But the consistency with which Jordan made those insane shots, and how easy he'd make it look sometimes, no one can touch him.
Michael made everyone watch the NBA back then. Everyone one knows who Jordan is. He was cocky but good. He is the GOAT and no one is or will be better. Look at what the NBA players are saying about him. I really doubt they will ever talk like that about Kobe or Lebron.
ha ha ha i luv magic... ha ha im drunk but shyt, that shyt was funny what he said. ha haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa got damn. ok imma calm down. but i clearly remember the day he did that move. since im from l.a. i was at my aunts house, i was like "look at this mutha fucka, he didnt have to do that.. cocky bastard." next thing u know im a fan lol
Nobody made the lay-up look more beautiful than Michael Jordan.

@bolder2009 Look man, Michael Jordan, for some reason I'll never know, briefly stepped away from the game to pursue a professional baseball career.
He retired in 1998, not because his Chicago Bulls had just won their sixth NBA Championship, but because he knew his team was falling apart.
Dennis Rodman was on his way out, and so was Scottie Pippen.
Kobe Bryant, on the other hand, has stuck with the Lakers throughout his entire career and will finish it where he started it.

Even if you add the extra games Kobe has as a bench player which still need to be accounted for.
vladiator100 8 months ago
@CEO1451 Yeah but remember he has played 955 to MJs 1039 as far as games started is concerned. Obviously he won't be close to reaching MJ by the time he has played 84 more games as a starter, add to that the extra games he played as a non starter and it still wouldn't be enough.
vladiator100 8 months ago
@CEO1451 Which means he would do it in in his THIRD season starting next season, which means in THREE seasons, you just repeated my point. Kobe has started 955 games while Jordan started 1039 games in 15 seasons. That is 84 games, basically one season, Kobe isn't reaching MJ in ONE season(84 more starts). With that being said, Kobe would have played more seasons than MJ and still would not reach MJ, Kobe will eventually pass the mark but only because he will compile more seasons, case closed.

It depends on his health too
vladiator100 9 months ago
@CEO1451 He will probably end up scoring more points but only because he will play more seasons than MJ. He has played the same number of seasons as MJ with this year and he does not match MJs numbers. To match MJs scoring points he needs to play at least 3 or 4 more seasons and stay injury free. That detail alone is why Kobe just isn't in the same level. MJ won 6 titles in 13 seasons, Kobe 5 in 15 although kobe might win more rings since he has more time but it won't make much difference.
vladiator100 9 months ago
@vladiator100 People that don't know a lot about basketball (the people that say that Kobe is in the same league as MJ in other words) forget about defense as well. Everything you're saying about the offense side of the equation is true, but MJ was also a MUCH better defensive player than Kobe.

How can NBS fans today say that LeBron, Wade and Kobe are the greatest. People seem to forget just how good Jordan was. Jordan made plays, moves that none of these 3 have yet to do. Jordan possessed an uncanny ability and agility that surpassed these 3 players combined!
