Fantasia has the best version to me. She sang the song the way it was suppose to be sung. She was the one more focused on the words than anyone else. Everyone else seemed to be focused on " Imma sing the mess out of this song", and there seemed to be that disconnection there. When you can feel what your singing, you get Fantasia's result, a heartfelt, soul-stirring performance. Dont get me wrong they all have beautiful voices, but like some one else said, that song suits Fantasia PERFECTLY!!

Fantasia's version is the best. All of them are great singers. Fantasia interpretation and phrasing are great. She really plays to the characters new found confidence and great outlook when she sings. Jennifer was just power singing and she still has problems with controlling her notes. Jennifer didn't make me believe that she believed what she was singing. The third young lady is too technical. The 4th young lady did great! I'd say she is my second favorite after Fantasia!!!

1. Fantasia- She's wins hands down because her passion is coming from the heart. She pours hear heart into the song every time she sings it. Just look up other examples, and you can see, hear, and feel her emotion every time. (Please note I'm not a fan of Fantasia.

2. Jeanette- I place her second because I saw her perform this in the play and she was amazing, but she's not Fantasia.

3. Ayegee- Horrible video, but you can hear that girl's gift.

Jennifer hands down for the experience.. She was singing with a 60 person choir and overpowering the choir...It was personal and genuine .. When this performance came out, I said to myself.. Fantasia just got replaced as Celie in the Film.. Jennifers performance proved Fantasia isnt the only Celie in town...

the last video(ayegee) is harder to judge; the video wasnt that good and the sound. So i will leave her out of my judging... Fantasia, i liked the lease. I like hudson's verson and performance best. But that could be also because the setting, lighting was great compared to jeannette's setting. I would try to find a better video of Ayegee. But. Hey. they all sound very similar.
