I have a thin flat iron - I don't mind if it seems too curly at first, because my hair is heavy and the curl will loosen under the weight of my hair.

When I let them dry on my pillow all night, I basically have dread locks the morning after. Will try to moisturize them a little bit more.

Another way is to braid your hair after you've washed it and sleep. The next day it'll be even more wavier/curlier.

Great tip! I will be buying a wide flat iron and doing this. After many bleachings and multiple dye jobs during high school my hair went from super straight to having a similar wave to yours. This is a nice in between of keeping the nice wave I like and fixing the one I dont. You're Amazing! :)

I have very thick, naturally curly hair and also go to bed with it wet. if anyone is thinking of doing that, I suggest a towel over your pillow, then throw your hair up over the pillow. You need to have some length for this to work.

Also, I get Deva haircuts and they are haircuts specific to your curl. It's like getting a custom haircut just for you and it is only an extra $5-10 CND more than a regular cut where I go.
