My sort of Jessicurl review...

Full disclosure: I'm still transitioning. I think the hold is good cause it stands up to humidity and on braid outs, I get great next day definition after tossing and turning. But I dunno if it would hold thru a whole week. On frizzy patches I re-wet and apply gel and it clumps the curls back together pretty well and lasts all day. I find it holds best when it's thicker like, little kid snot thick (sorry, that's what it reminds me of. lol)

Have you tried flax seed gel as a natural gel product?

There are helpful videos on youtube. Sometimes it's all I use on my hair (I'm 3c w/ a lil 4a in the front) It dries crisp but doesn't flake and once you break it up, it's really soft, bouncy, ridiculously shiny. Super cheap and you can thin it out to apply in a spray bottle to revive next day hair. Sometimes I add a pinch of sea salt or epsom salt to it for more curl enhancement. yes i did way back when. also made flax seed cream when i whipped it into my shealoe. it actually worked nice! when i have time to play around i may make it again.

how much product do you put on your hair!! like how much conditioner do you put on there! And if you could recommend a protein free moisturizing shampoo and conditioner what would u recommend. i am trasnsitioning so its crazy!!!!

enough, i have thick hair that soaks up stuff! hmm protein free shampoo....i use a lot of shampoo bars...no protein...conditioners...there are TONS. check out my fotki!

I just starting using Jessicurl 2 weeks ago, same set. My hair is a lot thinner and the curls aren't as tight so these products are perfect for my type, I love them! I'd say mine is a 3b with some 3c mixed in. I don't care as much for Confident coils, it gives me too much separation and some frizz, so I just stick with Rockin Ringlets. I got the Island Fantasy, I think it smells like coconut heavy pina colada.

this stuff was too light for my hair! i may use it just to get rid of it, but use it with other stuff.
