Back when this video was posted, AVG was a good free antivirus. In my opinion, as an IT pro for 15 years, it no longer is. Avira is one the best right now, as far as I know. And no, I am not being paid to say this.

AVG is piece of shit. Use Avira 9 Free along with NOD32 to ensure your Windows installation is free of malware. Avoid using crap like AVG.

Malware can't delete ALL your viruses, I'd reccomend downloading the 30 day trial of Norton Antivirus, run a full scan (Will take upto 2 - 3 hours) but it'll remove ALL Viruses.

@ha1072 ok when you turn on your computer start pressing f8 constantly (if it loads to windows normally then u have to restart and do it again pressing f8 again) until a black screen pops out the it will say: start in safe mode.start in safe mode with network,then start normally, then just chose safe mode and run malwarebytes.

Each year there are these "fake anti virus" that make you think that your computer is infected with all sorts of Trojans and other type of malware. What they really want you to do is to buy their product so they can get acces to your credit card number. I would recommend the following anti virus's: AVG, AVAST, AVIRA, and there are a few more, but those seem to always do a good job. Hope this helps

First make sure its not a internet connection problem. Usually the programs described in the above video do the job. Another tool that i use as a last resource is one called Combo Fix. The truth is, as any technician will tell you is that if your computer is to infected with viruses, the best thing to do is reinstall the OS(operating system). Because no matter how hard you try to clean it up, if its too infected, the fact is that the viruses will have infected, corrupted some system files.

The tools are undoubtedly very useful (I'm using malwarebytes and it saved me from very hard situations), but the infection might need some additional solving - tools can't fix it all. They can remove the virus, but the damage, as itechnico said might already been done. More often, the system files are intact, so it may be sufficient to just reinstall the software, that has locked up. Oh, and about IE. Use firefox xD
