  • Really cool

  • lol my sister just asked me when i was taking our Halloween decorations down... I said is do it later while im on the party city website and saw the mask on sale for $10?! now I think may have to leave the spiderwebs at red bows to the columns on our porch and mAke jAck! lol =]]

  • @7164famous You should go for it and make a Jack display it is really a fun project.

  • thanks for ur response, cant wait for next video

  • Nice Jack! How did you make the head and hands for him? Please send me some new pics and details.

  • @mrt12600 The head is a halloween mask. I blacked out the openings with black tape and filled the head with expanding foam. The original hands were made of 1/2 pvc pipes, but now I have remade the hands out of wire hangers covered with modeling clay. I don't have any way to send you pics. You would have to send me your email address in a private message. Plus, Jack is in storage right now so I'm not sure when I could take more photos. Sorry.

  • I LOVE U !!!!

  • This is soo Cool I wish my jack turned out good like that please check my video and subscribe please great work !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • lol she said penalized

  • Do you have more detail on how you made Zero? Is that paper mache over wire?

    sara

  • @Fuzzyfezz I made the head out of paper mache and the body was a wire frame with fabric covering it. Since this video I made a new Zero. I made a skeletal frame work of half inch pvc pipe and draped it with white felt fabric. I used the old paper mache head and placed it all on a wood stand similar to the one I put Jack on. I have a photo of the new version, but everything is in storage now so I can't give exact details. If you email me I can send you the new photos.

  • clever!

  • Isn't it weird how no one can make a jack statue that actually looks just like the movie? (urs is the closest ive seen though..)

  • Wow! Really nice work. We're looking for ideas for Halloween but you've totally inspired us for Christmas, too!

  • This is really awesome, I love it. :)

  • Ha! I love it, I wish I could have seen your house being as I am in Japan in the Air Force. We live in dorms and towers and the Japanese folk, although quite obsessed with Jack around Halloween, don't really go out of their way to think outside the box they way you have when decorating their houses. I am really glad you showed how to go about making it on your own, I wish I had you to teach me!

  • Thanks. I really had fun making Jack. When I put him up I wasn't sure if my neighbors would like him, because it is a bit odd. But most people see the fun of it.

  • Thats amazing

  • Thanks :-)

  • Amazing!!! You should take some night video :)

  • Thanks for the nice comment. I tried to get some night photos, but they didn't come out. I didn't have a strong enough flash for my camera. This year I have Jack set up at work and I made a new Zero.

  • This is something I would pay money for.

    It's frikkin' awesome!

  • I'm glad you like my Jack. I have fixed him up a bit since I made this video. Last year I made him a real Santa suit and this year I added better hands. I also re-did Zero. I should make a new video from the snap shots I have. Right now I have him set up at work instead of on my balcony.

  • That is so cool. I wish I could be more artistic like that.

  • Thanks Becky. I bet you could do something like this, it just takes a little imagination and lots of time. From the looks of your videos you have the imagination :-)

  • What the problem I have is no patience and I get frustrated to easily. I am not to good with the hands and patience. LOL

  • i love it!

  • Thanks Harry :-)

  • WOW!!!! YOU ARE VERY TALENTED!!!!! Don't hide that talent!!!!! KEEP GOING!!! :o)

  • Thanks so much Jackson and Cheri. It was a very fun project.

  • AWESOME! I've always thought about doing something like this, I'm not good at stuff like this tho, but you brought the detail it deserves! :)

  • Thanks so much. I bet you could make one. It was fairly simple. This year I made a new set of clothes for him and he looked a lot better, but I forgot to take photos of the new improved Jack. I think next I will use him for Halloween.

  • thats absolutely glorious great job great imagination ..just plain rocks my bones KUDOS!

  • Thanks so much. I had fun making the display. I hope to add the big snake this year and have it eating the Christmas tree, just like in the movie.

  • Merry Christmas, JoAnn. You did an excellent of job of Jack! What a fabulous display! Thanks for sharing.

  • Thanks so much Nathan, and a Very Merry Christmas to you too :-)

  • Seriously Talented! WOWOW awesome!!!!

  • Thanks Joy. Your comment is seriously appreciated :-)

  • Wow there he is completed! Fabulous. I love the fire and the stockings too. Great job!

  • Thanks Annya. The fire had me stumped for a while. I wasn't sure how to make it, but crinkled aluminum foil and orange halloween lights seemed to do the trick.

  • Wow! This is FABULOUS! Well done you!!!

  • Hello Dali. Thanks for the complimentary comment :-)

  • That is amazing!

  • Thanks Sue. I'm glad you like it.

  • Wow, I knew you were skilled at this kind of thing, but that's REALLY impressive!

  • I have watched this video 3 times and shared it with several people. I love it!

  • Thanks for sharing the video. I don't have very many subscribers so it is nice that you would do that.

  • Thanks Curt. I had a great time doing it, and I think I can even recycle him for next Halloween :-)

  • Wow! You did a great job here. Probably the most original Christmas decoration I've ever seen. Very creative. ^_^ *thumbs up*

I like the drawing you did beforehand, it reminds me of Leonardo Da Vinci's notebooks (when he imagined various machines) :)

  • Gosh, thanks for the great review Lennie. I had so much fun making it. I was going to make a how to video as I went along, but because I was just winging it and I didn't have anyone to film it. I thought if I just showed some still photos of the process anyone that wanted to try to make one could probably figure it out.

  • That's an impressive display. Wow. Nice work!

  • I'm glad you like it. Thanks for the cool comment :-)

  • Wow! Impressive.

  • Thanks so much Guidotnb :-)

  • well, that took some talent!!

  • Some talent and about 4 rolls of colored duct tape LOL :-)

  • Delightful!

  • Thank You DoctorMetropolis :-)

  • That is just amazing!!! You thought this all up by yourself? So cute! Your house looks amazing!

    Merry Christmas!

    Joanie

  • Thanks Joanie. Yep. I figured out how to build him all by myself. It took longer than I thought it would, but I think he came out pretty good. I had fun trying to think up ways to make everything. It was sort of like doing a puzzle. Fun :-)
