The Only thing I would say is that redsn0w has to be the latest version which is

"redsn0w_win_0.9.5b5-4" (Just Google it and you will find it)

@claytommn006 hold the power and home button until screen goes black, after it goes black, release the power button. DFU mode isnt recovery mode. DFU mode doesnt show the connect to itunes picture, it is only black. hope this helped :D
