Fella's fella's. On my copy of Cure for Sanity I have this version. It's a hidden track. Yeah it isn't as good as the original but it's still one of there best songs!!
I have this song on "16 Different Flavours of Hell" BMG 1993 slightly different mix but a crisper version. of the "Wake up its Time to Die" is best track on the album, i believe Dance of the Mad and XY & Z are close behind . BIG UP DEFX39 for posting this!!
The album version of this song has its own quality, and this version does as well. I have both, and they are equally great in their own way. Love the 'Easy rider' guitar sample.
EMF released Unbelievable there first single in 1990, the same time PWEI released Cure for Sanity, to suggest that they changed there sound and created a whole album to some how cash in on EMF's SINGLE.. is pretty ridiculous.. I bought Cure for sanity the week it was released ( IMPORT) i had listened to the whole thing.. to me it was EMF who were cashing in.. not the other way around... when i heard "Unbelievable" i thought... "Hey the sound like the Poppies!!"
I know what I'm talking about, they sound nothing like this on their albums, and even the album version of this song sounded very different. This was obviously reproduced to sound more commercial.
This is VERY similar to the album version and nothing like EMF who were manufactured pop pap. Don't talk like a twat. And as regards to your comment below....no, you don't know what you're talking about. Pwei and commercialism???????? I think not.
Turn it up loud and dance baby. As good today as it ever was, kinda makes me wish I never grew up and got responsible. Eezer good eezer good, he`s Ebeneezer good............
PWEI were so damn good, takes me back to some insane gigs at the Marquee and the Brixton Academy in the early 90s. They were good on record, but out of this world live. And they never got the credit they deserved. More Poppies please...
"No pop, no style" you're going to have to go through a slew of google results for that one. The guitar riff is quite obvious though, it's lifted from Steppenwolf - "The Pusher". I like "X,Y and Zee", but when it orignally came out, right on the heels of "This is the Day...", it was too much of a departure and it put me off PWEI unfortunately, but what did I know eh?
wish i'd nor watched the video - has spolit it for me!

No disrespect to PWEI or this song, but the lead singer reminds me of John Oliver from The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. I think it's his accent.
Love this song to death, though. Great stuff...coming from somebody completely sober.

I love the poppies, great to the videos again.
They were amazing live, I saw them at the Newport centre in 1993 or was it 92. Was all a bit of a blur then, happy days.
