i've got dual flowmaster outlaw series with 3" piping and flowmaster high flow cats, on 31" tires with a full spare and mine fits tight but its not hard to do. they will kinda end up at the corners of the bumpers, really spaced apart
ok everyone with a durango i have flowmaster duals (corner) im soon gonna have them straight back i have a 33" spare tire matching spare u can do duals they just bull shit u i have my hitch and a tow ball and my full spare and my tire is fine lol its possible
i have a 2000 5.9lt 4x4 durango with duals, and didn't had to have the spare nor the hitch removed, they did what they call "twin double exhaust way" or something like that, its a stock hand made job, what they did is, after the headers, they send the two pipes to the right and then both go to the back one next to each other, and they put a double muffler, and the two tips are back on the right side.
The two pipes are not the same exact lenght, so I don't know how much that affect performance..
you dont HAVE to remove the spare, its alot easier that way but theres one company that sells a true duel kit for the durango that bolts up with the spare, and if seen other trucks with the spare tire still on after shops had made them.
i had the same muffler 3" true duals with gibson headers..good muffler...rusted out now though..i put 3" one chamber mufflers on it now..sounds even better.not stock engine..kudos on yours sounds great!
midas said they cant do it, the sales guy on the phone said yes, but the tech when i got there looked under and said not reccomended, he said it may work when i left but would start to rattle and give problems in the future, not enough room in his mind
what did you do with your spare? im wondering if there is a way to mount it on the inside side like some jeeps do, so it doesnt take up all the cargo space
Mine is completely off right now, but i plan to either mount it to a roof rack, or on a custom rear bumper. I'm moving up to 33's and eventually 35's so inside is really no option for me
thanks for the reply, i have a custom single exhaust on mine but still debating what to do with spare to get duals, a local midas shop i called claims theyve done some without removing the spare, im heading there when i get a chance to talk to them and see whats up...

...increase, but that way you can have the duals, and you don't need to remove the hitch nor the spare from its original place

Did you have to remove your spare tire. I have a durango aswell and people are telling me that if I want duals I would have to remove my spare tire.

Yes the spare had to be removed, and the hitch cut as well

about $300. Bought Vortex muffler then had a shop install it. It's a 5.9l
