  • Thanks Marty. Absolutly AWESOME!.

  • I read some of the other comments and that is what happened to my Mosrite amp. Many years ago someone else was playing it pretty hard with a keyboard and it started smoking and quit.Has been in a closet ever since.

  • Thanks for the reply. I bought it many years ago along with a real nice Mosrite guitar as the guy that sold them had bought them both new together. It was post Ventures and I believe it was near the end of the production of Mosrite guitars. The amp is not currently working but I am going to see if the bass player in my band can fix it.I think the output transisters blew.It was not a great sounding amp but not terrible either. The guitar is killer though.

  • @kynyrdskynyrd When you get it fixed, post a video!

  • I have a Mosrite amp that is somewhat different. It just says Mosrite and has 2 channels, reverb, tremelo and FUZZ rite.It has 1 15" Jensen.

  • @kynyrdskynyrd Yours would likely be a real Mosrite amp and they're equally as rare if not more rare. The one I'm playing has the Mosrite name only because The Ventures wanted it on their amp (to match their Mosrite guitars and because they owned Mosrite distribution). They paid Semie Mosely I think 5000 clams for the license to put "Mosrite" on the amp. The amp was actually made by a consumer electronics company in the mid-west called Award.

  • whats the name of the song at the begining?

  • @cigsareback The tune at the beginning is "Diamond Head" written by Danny Hamilton (from the T-Bones and had hits with Hamilton, Joe Frank and Reynolds in the '70's).

  • @nokie2 thanks man i really dig it

  • What's the name of the album with the Ventures in Japan in 1967?

  • @fishyfish235 "On Stage Encore" is The Ventures live album from their 1967 Japan tour. It was originally a red vinyl lp only available in Japan and difficult to get in the U.S. It was later released on CD in the U.K. on the SFM label and was fairly easy to find in the U.S. as an import.

  • VERY cool demo. =)

And that guitar! Genuine 63' sidejack or reissue?

  • @RamonePinhead Glad ya liked the demo. The geetar is the Kirokomo (sp?) '63 Royal.

  • thanks Marty for that very cool Mosrite Ventures Amplifiers run down i think the 1000 sounds the best love that on board fuzz and rev-trem sound...i had all ways heard that these Mosrite solid state amps would catch on fire of even worse blow up on stages...cheers & thanks man for the DEMO....

  • @theSupertonesurf Thanks for checkin' it out, Tim. Yikes, I hadn't heard of the blow-up or fire features of the amp. The Ventures spoke highly of the amp in Del Halterman's book but Mosrite Distributing got a lot of returns on the amp. I haven't used either amp at gigs yet but I do intend to. I'd better have a fire extinguisher handy. The BG-1000 is louder than loud and with the 2-15's is definitley the most impressive sound. -Marty
