Years ago, a woman told me a story of growing up in Brazil and hearing scratching in a basement. She went down into the basement and found an ouija board with dust on it and the planchette. I'm a Roman Catholic. Who VENERATES (deeply respects) saints and GOD'S angels. I only worship GOD (He comes first in my life). I have asked saints and GOD'S angels to pray to GOD for me; and will continue to do so.I do know Christians who have pagan beliefs (astrology, drugs, pro-choice, ect.). Most of them are Protestant.
It's not a bias in our society that trying to contact the dead via ouija boards, etc opens the door to the demonic realm. It's not a bias, it's true. I know from personal experience. Sadly, I opened myself up to evil spirits via a ouija board, astrology, etc. I became possessed. But thank God Jesus Christ set me free when I became a Christian! :D

when my dad was in the priesthood (obviously he's not a priest) he stay with two exorcist, and one of them was the nephew of the priest who did this exorcism. I've been where the boy was held, and it was scary as hell.

the Bible did not exist until the council of nicaea 300 years after this book, Revelations, was written. Catholics were the first to add to it

You should read a book on the history of religion that has not been given the seal of approval from the Catholic Church. You will learn new facts, and you may also learn to not judge another persons faith.

Yes Catholics may have been the first to take a percentage of many great books and turn them into chapters of a book that supported their values and beliefs. Does this mean that since they were the first to do this their beliefs should be the Gospel for the whole world? Should not a nomadic herdsman have different values and beliefs than a vegetarian businessman.

Catholics and Episcopalians do not worship idols. If what you are calling idols are the "icons" then you haven't done your research. We don't pray to pictures or pray to the "Saints". I don't want to offend anyone's opinions on this, but what I think this is is not a boy being possessed by something, it's him suffering from extreme post-traumatic stress or even anxiety. It said so in this clip that as soon as his beloved aunt died, he began changing as a person. To me, this was his way of coping with the death of his aunt, not a ghost coming into his body.
I believe that there is no such thing as demonic possesion. he just had a mental problem, maybe his aunt's beleifs had an effect on him, and he had a mental breakdown.

The part I don't understand is why the Lutheran pastor referred the family to a Catholic priest?? Didn't Jesus say we would be able to cast out demons?? Obviously the Lutheran pastor wasn't a strong man in God.

As most readers already know, what has come to be known as the "St. Louis Exorcism Case" would go on to inspire William Peter Blatty's 1971 best-selling book and the movie based on it, The Exorcist.
I had bought this movie and was happy to find it on youtube to share with others. I have no doubt that the ouija board can lead to demon possession and other harmful things as well. I previously read about actress Mia Farrow's terrible experience with it as well in her biography. There is also a story long ago about bad things that happened on Fire Island.
@IslamicTerd You realize most catholic preist in this day and age don't believe in exorcisms. Yes its officaly apart of church dogma but like I said most even in the church don't believe in it anymore.
You don't need to be trained by the vatican in fact they pray to the virgin mary which is wrong, so most of the time they don't do the exorcism properly.
Christ is the intercessor and He said WE all have the Authority to trample on serpents and scorpians and over all the power of the enemy. If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can perform and bless anything and anyone!
@Fight0Tyranny If so much is wrong with Catholicism, then why did the Lutheran Pastor tell the family of the boy they needed to seek the help of Catholic Priests? Eventually the boy and his parents converted to Catholicism. Perhaps instead of bashing each other's faith's, we should celebrate each other's strengths. Peace be with you.
@DollyHot You don't need a priest, everyone is a priest. To say that only a few people have the power of faith is blasphemy. Frankly it isn't saying the right prayers that drove out the evil but rather faith, and perhaps the only way he could believe it was true was to put it behind the ruse of a flashy spectacle, like mixing pureed prunes into a brownie batter to sneak in some healthy food.
@xpo50 spot on on what you say my brother. Only the ones that do the will of God and trust in him are given authority over the power of darkness. I don't need to be a Catholic priest to cast out demons or be a member of their church. The only true church is the unity of people who follow Christ. I find it funny that Catholics confess their sins to Priest thinking it will be forgiven but it never is. God says in the bible repent his sins to him only through prayer. Roman Catholicism is the biggest false religion and was created to sway people away from the truth which is the bible. That goes for every other religion.

thing about the exorcist is its not just about good and evil, its also about sanity and insanity. But you got to watch the movie about 4 or 5 times an really listen to what the vicar says about his faith after the death of his mother and you can start understanding the movie.
Years ago, a woman told me a story of growing up in Brazil and hearing scratching in a basement. She went down into the basement and found an ouija board with dust on it and the planchette. She did not know what it was and took it upstairs. After placing the ouija board on the bed and placing the planchette on it, she spoke out loud " I wonder how this works?" and the planchette moved! She got rid of the ouija board but the board mysteriously returned until someone through it into a river!

I used to play with Tarot Cards. One night a friend of mine brought an ouija board and he started messing with it. Nothing happened. But, when I deployed to Bagram, Afghanistan and stayed in a 12 X 12 foot wooden room. I had the Tarot Cards sitting on a shelf. I EXPERIENCED "MARCHING FEET" OR SLIGHT VIBRATION IN MY MATTRESS. After having a nightmare of a dwarf like demon in a red satin hooded robe dragging me into a black hole at the foot of my bed - I got rid of the Tarot Cards!

I'm a Roman Catholic. Who VENERATES (deeply respects) saints and GOD'S angels. I only worship GOD (He comes first in my life). I have asked saints and GOD'S angels to pray to GOD for me; and will continue to do so.I do know Christians who have pagan beliefs (astrology, drugs, pro-choice, ect.). Most of them are Protestant.

It's not a bias in our society that trying to contact the dead via ouija boards, etc opens the door to the demonic realm. It's not a bias, it's true. I know from personal experience. Sadly, I opened myself up to evil spirits via a ouija board, astrology, etc. I became possessed. But thank God Jesus Christ set me free when I became a Christian! :D

dasshnitzel05, It may be correct that commandents are being broken within the church, sure is a good thing that according to the gospel, man is saved by grace and the price for that gift of grace has been paid in full, and upon the advent of the 2nd coming, in his Kingly character aspect, those things within the church which you mention, those will be cast into the sea and forgotten for eternity.

when my dad was in the priesthood (obviously he's not a priest) he stay with two exorcist, and one of them was the nephew of the priest who did this exorcism. I've been where the boy was held, and it was scary as hell.

I worked at the White House Retreat in St. Louis where the boy was taken. That's the place where the boy tried to kill himself by jumping off this rock on the edge of the cliff. I've actually smoked many bowls on my riding lawn mower there. Don't worry guys, I've de-demonized that area. lol. That place is hella fucking scary at night. All the Jesuit Catholic statues. In the bible it says if one seeks to know the truth to ask God, right?? Well, I'm not one of those people that sugarcoats the truth just to look good with people. The only true church is the people who decide to follow Christ and it ain't the Catholic church!! Catholics break the 1st commandents by worshipping idols which can't talk or speak. Purgatory does not exist either. Hebrews 9:27 And just as people are appointed to die once and then to face judgment. Why pray to St John or St. Peter when Christ is the only one that should be prayed to?? Hmm I'm the one throwing stones?? Catholics claim to have the one true church. We ask Mary to pray for us just as you ask others to pray for you when your ill or you just want them to keep you in their mind and prayers. The early Church over 2000 years ago prayed to the Saints and Mary to pray for them. If you have ever asked others to pray for you or others you are committing a sin too! Lol

@neocon2009 I grew up in the Catholic church and I have to disagree with it being the only true church. By the way, why would you pray to saints if Christ is very well and alive? He hears our prayers and we have the holy spririt here on earth as our comforter. The bible states that the ones who don't believe onto Christ are already condemned. If a murderer commits an atrocious crime and doesn't repent and accept Jesus and dies without him he is already condemned.

Like Martin Luther created Lutheranism because the Pope would not allow him to divorce his wife. He took the early church teachings of faith and works as supported in the Bible and said faith only. How can a modern church do that and claim to have...

The problem was with Pope Leo X selling indulgences to build the St Peter basically on screwing people over having them believe that some of their sins were forgiven and prohibiting people to read the bible for themselves. Mormons claim that they have the truth and that Joseph Smith was their prophet used by God to restore the gospel. There is another argument right there. There is still suffering there because your not with GOD yet! Jesus Sacrifice Alone does not forgive all your sins his Sacrifice was not to give you a free pass into Heaven. Its like the Story of the Sheep and the goats in the book of Matthew. Your ACTIONS and FAITH are judged NOT just your Faith!

A church is just a building, the true true church of Christ is you, your body is "The holy Temple" filled with the Holy Ghost, your soul. Buildings get built then demolished on a daily basis. But you are forever! Dont forget that. To believe in one must believe in the other. Casting out demons are common, Catholics priests are brave to do so.

the Bible did not exist until the council of nicaea 300 years after this book, Revelations, was written. Catholics were the first to add to it

You should read a book on the history of religion that has not been given the seal of approval from the Catholic Church. You will learn new facts, and you may also learn to not judge another persons faith.

Yes Catholics may have been the first to take a percentage of many great books and turn them into chapters of a book that supported their values and beliefs. Does this mean that since they were the first to do this their beliefs should be the Gospel for the whole world? Should not a nomadic herdsman have different values and beliefs than a vegetarian businessman.

Catholics and Episcopalians do not worship idols. If what you are calling idols are the "icons" then you haven't done your research. We don't pray to pictures or pray to the "Saints". We look to the saints because they were faulted like all of us but they still found ways to serve God in almost perfects ways. You are right we can only be saved through Jesus Christ. By they way I am an Episcopalian.

I don't want to offend anyone's opinions on this, but what I think this is is not a boy being possessed by something, it's him suffering from extreme post-traumatic stress or even anxiety. It said so in this clip that as soon as his beloved aunt died, he began changing as a person. To me, this was his way of coping with the death of his aunt, not a ghost coming into his body.

why on earth would a deamon posses a child and then go crazy. I would have expected the deamon to pretend to be the child and then kill people.
That's why I believe this is all a load of tosh.
there would be no point in the deamon or ghost to posses a child, just to make him do weird things.

I had bought this movie and was happy to find it on youtube to share with others. I have no doubt that the ouija board can lead to demon possession and other harmful things as well. I previously read about actress Mia Farrow's terrible experience with it as well in her biography. There is also a story long ago about bad things that happened on Fire Island.

You don't need to be trained by the vatican in fact they pray to the virgin mary which is wrong, so most of the time they don't do the exorcism properly.
Christ is the intercessor and He said WE all have the Authority to trample on serpents and scorpians and over all the power of the enemy. If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can perform and bless anything and anyone!

Frankly it isn't saying the right prayers that drove out the evil but rather faith, and perhaps the only way he could believe it was true was to put it behind the ruse of a flashy spectacle, like mixing pureed prunes into a brownie batter to sneak in some healthy food.

I find it funny that Catholics confess their sins to Priest thinking it will be forgiven but it never is. God says in the bible repent his sins to him only through prayer. Roman Catholicism is the biggest false religion and was created to sway people away from the truth which is the bible. That goes for every other religion.

thing about the exorcist is its not just about good and evil, its also about sanity and insanity. But you got to watch the movie about 4 or 5 times an really listen to what the vicar says about his faith after the death of his mother and you can start understanding the movie.
