it's funny the way Tim is swaying back and forth and moving his Microphone he dosen't do that anymore and he sings lower now too I guess his voice wasn't as well devoloped as it is now but he is still awesome!
As noted in the description this was during Gospel Appreciation Week at PTL. Each night 3-4 groups would perform. Notice at the start one can see 3 different stage areas. In this case, Gold City has the one to the right of the audience.
I think Garry Jones is one of the most underrated pianists in southern gospel. He's great. This era everyone was enthralled with Anthony Burger, and he was fantastic, but I never felt that Garry got the recognition he deserved for all of the arranging he did for GC.
They don't sing gospel like this anymore!!

That's a piece man. Look at the 1982 clip or so from him at Sing Out America. He had a major comb over then. :)

yep, he's worn a piece for years, from what I've heard...not that it matters... ;)

OK, what's up with the odd placement of the audience seats? Everyone is craning their neck to the right. Very odd.
Fantastic quartet. This era Gold City group is one of my all-time favorites.
