How so?

Most dnb is just a fast 2step beat and doesn't have any of the complex drum patterns I got into dnb for. It's more like snare n midrange than drum n bass. Lacking in the dark vibes and atmospherics as well.

@crypsisjim I love Fanu, but there's a lot more decent breakbeat-y DnB that ticks all the boxes for someone who digs Source Direct. There's a lad called Mineral who put out a digital EP on Fanu's label, he's doing some nice stuff in that kind of vein, and then you have the likes of Paradox, D:Bridge (not all of his stuff recently, but his new thing on Headz is great)... Nebula is doing some amazing stuff too; check out "Chords of Sorrow"... Stranjah - "Dark Tune" is amazing too...
