Unfortunately, and despite the divisions, the tune is, or at least is a variant of "Under and Over' from PLayford, 1670.. still, later he plays Mr Beveridge's Maggot, which is 1695.. and whilst I might accept the under nd over COULD have been taken from an earlier tune, Mr Beveridge wasteaching dance in 1704, so unlikely to have been making dancesin 1536....
